  1. Hi Ian and welcome i have that book and indeed built the Micro T and yes it flew well and many at our club flew it and all agreed it to be a good model but alas I no longer have it I got rid of it an one of the club auctions, I still regret doing that and will probably build another in the not too distant future @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  2. Do you have to have insurance to fly then in the UK?? Here in New Zealand you dont even need car insurance although 60% of the population do. Our club fees include NZMAA membership and insurance but you do need insurance and your "wings" badge to fly at another club, But many people fly slope from the beaches and parkfly without either and its no biggie @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  3. Mainly I do the building on the dining room table ,but I do have a shed where engines are test run,li-po's are charged, and regular repairs are done. I also have a few models hung in the garage   @import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  4. Fly Boy cheers for the welcome ,6 years ago I never took much notice of rugby but now I support any team thats playing Australia or South Africa. I was lucky to see the poms play the scots at the world cup earlier in the year. I can almost name the entire All Black squad, but alas I still cannot understand the difference between Rugby and "League": @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  5. Hi Kiwi G yes I'm a confirmed "petrolhead" i am fortunate enough to have my '56 Chevy Bel-Air as my every day car and my other vehicle is a 2003 Harley Sportster. I have retro fitted the chev with modern things like disc brakes and a bigger motor and late model gearbox. It now runs a 350cu/in 5.7litre V8 @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  6. Vecchio we currently have around 50 members and 15 associate members, but as with all clubs when there is work needed to be done there is only around 10 that will turn up. on a good club night up to 20 will appear we have a good mix of glider/ vintage electric / glow but mainly we fly for fun nothing is too serious . The glider comps are set on a day where they will be left alone from the usual malarkey and games! @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  7. My workshop is quite tidy at the moment but only because I have a BBQ at my place next weekend and I know some of my mates will insist having a look to see whats on the board so it got a tidy up yesterday. Why not have a work bench photo section @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  8. Just thought you might like to see where we fly check out our website   you can also access our newsletters @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);Edited By Tim Mackey on 30/12/2011 10:33:47
  9. They look awesome I have always planned to build one of those beauties I frequently grab the plans and look at them ,i think the Hurricane a far prettier shape than the spit. I have to finish my Airsail Auster first though @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
  10. I have been a longtime admirer of Ed "Big Daddy"Roth of 1960's crazy hotrods and Ratfink fame He always had a sign above his workshop door saying "Big Mess = Big Success" I tend to be a tidy person in my work shop bit generally only clean up when the model is finished @import url(http://www.modelflying.co.uk/CuteEditor_Files/Style/SyntaxHighlighter.css);@import url(/CuteEditor_Files/public_forums.css);
