The March Grand Prize Draw
Ron Harrison replied to David Ashby - Moderator's topic in All Things Model Flying
No luck with the Tiggie, so here we go for the cessna instead. I you are not in it then you cannot win it!! -
Thanks for your input Dustin, Not really interested in the Great Planes as it is a bit of a Plank, thanks all the same. Compared the German Hype offering with the Kalm and there does not seem to be a lot in it! You are right there is so much, too much, choice out there. Going to put the lid on this now as it is not really getting anywhere. Just going round in circles. Will fly my old Twin Star or Easy Glider electric until we come back from Tenerife and then will have to make my choice for better or for worse. Ron

Dustin, Which Model are you putting down? The Kalm or the Mascot? Ron
-
Pretty much decided now that a Kalm 60, from Wholesale Planes is going to be the replacement for the Arising Star. Am relaibly informed that it is slightly better than the Arising Star, Semi-symetrical wing Section otherwise no real difference. Thanks to everyone who responded. Happy Landings Ron

Thanks Phil but I think I have a way to go before committing to a Low Winger.Looking also at a Ripmax Nova as the Seagull Cessna looks like not being imported any moreRon

Please kill off Bertie Barnstormer it's just not funny!
Ron Harrison replied to cameramanpilot's topic in RCM&E Magazine
Agree wholeheartedly that 'Bertie Barnstormer' should Retire, before he crashes and burns! Never did understand what he was all about. Suffice to say, I read the first missive, when I first purchased the magazine. Read the the second one, in the next edition. Realised that I didn't get it wrong about the first and subsequently didn't bother with any of the later 'offerings'. Please, find something, like photo's of model, Flying or Flesh, no preference!!! Just do not regail us with any more of this diatribe. Ron -

Multiplex Easy Glider Electric
Ron Harrison replied to make angels one five rabbit leader's topic in Beginners
Blimey, I am more switched on than I thought! Just need to have a play to sort it out! Final question. Still not sure what to use on Expo as I tend, using Mode 2, to feed in up aileron when am doing certain maneouvers. What Minus setting would you suggest? Also, what would you suggest as an allround setting to soften twitching thumbs? ron -

Am aware of the Exponential 'Softening' Stick movement Offsetting the Servo Control Horn is therefore not having equal travel both ways? Control Surface at it's centre point but Servo Horn further forward or backward than if you are having say ½" up and down? Ron -

Timbo, You say to move the Horn Connections to the Extremes? Will this give the differential that Multiplex state is required on the Ailerons? I have used my EXA to enable the Flap, Full up Aileron, also. Look forward to hearing from you as I have yet to fly my EGE. Ron -

In response to Shaun Chant about naming Model Memories in a Futaba 6EXA. Do what I do and put a number on the Fin of each Aircraft, or wherever, then you know where your settings can be found! Ron

At the end of the day the Toyota Advert is just that, an Advert! I equate the reaction to this to the hysteria when Michael Elphick portrayed a Radio Ham, in a play, and there were lots of complaints that the Morse he transmitted was gibberish, well, it was only a play! Ron
