  1. Thankyou for the agreement, the smell is legendary and so is the noise and feel.
  2. Ive just bought a Wings DG100 Glider from a Guy who sold it on behalf of his late Father, I cannot find any information on it and wondered if anyone knows anything about them. It is a 2 channel model with a 1.85mtr windspan any information greatfully recieved Dave
  3. I drive from Worcester to this shop as we lost our shop in the 90's. I do sometimes feel that car and helicopter guys are dealt with better and spoken to better than us mere fixed wingers> The selection is very good but would like to see more builders kits in the shop but they have to stock what sells the most I guess. I do stock up on all my balsa and covering there and think their prices are very good.
  4. Block board is the best Graham, I use block board with 1/2 " cork bonded to it so its easier to push the pins in!, had a pin head give way once on a plain board and it went straight into my finger!!! OUUUCH. I only use it for building on and move it off the bench when it comes to final assembly, covering or maintenance etc.
  5. Recently been to cockaborough vintage meeting and this has embellished the view i have about IC v' leccy, seeing and hearing and smelling those deisels and four strokes really has hammered it home that we need to keep IC's alive. The leccies there didnt seem to capture the moment of the scene properly for me.
  6. Hi Ive ran them horizontal to each other but running the oppositew way from each other and had no problems, I slope soar with them at quite a distance away with no vices.
  7. |ve seen many of these from different sellers on ebay? I suspect that some are probably fly aways, but most I think are from sellers that pick them up cheap at shows or meets and lead us on to believe they know nothing about them so they have no come back from the buyer. I was unfortunate to fall for one of these recentley as I have kids, wife, house ,job getting in the way of building! and the model turned out to be a dog, something the seller probably knew!
  8. Hi All, In recent years its been very apparent that the world would like us to convert to electric flight. I went with the flow and after my 7th electric model I felt there was something missing?, I couldn't quite put my finger on it until one day I was sifting through some stuff in the model room and caught a wiff of fuel and realised that I forgotten my roots. I have now stared to re-convert my air craft to deisel and small four strokes, engines are very cheap theses days and fuel is coming down to, so heres to the IC'ers of the modelling world, KEEP UM FLYING ON IC. Dave
