  7. Following the sad death of a fellow flying friend I have been given an unfinished model of his and like me he was a keen Peter Miller model builder. That said I have no idea of the model shown in the attached picture. I would appreciate any help fellow members could offer as I need to know the C of G point or better still obtain a plan to enable me to complete my old friends model and get her in the air for old times sake. Thanks for your time Richard. Whitwick. Leics
  8. I have had a lot of pleasure building this model from the free plans in RCM&E the Special Issue 2018. That said I am now having considerable problems trying to get the little devil to fly without wanting to become an Saturn Rocket. I am using the initial AEO ducted fan & motor suggested by Tony and have balanced the aircraft at 115 mm from the wing root but am still am having major problems.Given it's flight attitude one feels it's tail heavy! Any help would be gratefully accepted. Richard.
  9. I am currently having problems with my Cutlass climbing whilst under power. She glides fine but as stated climbs under power. C of G fine! Is the thrust angle reversed compared to front powered models.Any help would be appreciated.

  13. Hi Ken, Agree the finish and colour are great, but hope you have good eyesight as PC's can be tricky to see at a distance so fly close! My pair are still doing great one hell of an aircraft, however am building the Cutlass! Keep up the good work. Regards Richard
  14. Hello there, I wonder if anyone has details of the C of G point on the Seagull 2200 glider above? I was given this model slightly damaged. Unfortunately no details survive about the balance point from the previous owner. Any help would be most welcome. Regards Richard
  15. Hello there, I am currently repairing a Seagull 2200 that was given to me by an old family friend. I fly both IC & electric, however the previous owner does not have any set up info or drawings of wing section chord on the 2200. It would be most helpful if anyone has details of C of G etc or even a plan I could copy or buy. Any help will be most welcome as I do really want to bring her back to her former glory! Regards Formtex1947
  16. Bad luck Ken, know how that feels and also know how easy the PC is to loose sight of. Maybe a slightly different colour scheme would be handy on the underside? Talking of loosing it my Can-Doo is the same! Good luck with the rebuild and happy landings.
  17. I am wondering if I am the only one who has had problems with this this manufactures quality. I was bought the full motor, ESC,& prop kit for my new build Nigel Hawes Can-Doo this last Christmas only to find the motor wires were cut down to copper wire as they came through the motor frame. Naturally I returned said item only to be told by the guy who was highly mentioned in Nigels article on the kit that its no problems as they are insulated by a thin layer of Silicone I'm sorry but if I see wires that are cut to their copper cores it spells danger to me. I returned the problem motor to seller who said all is well! Naturally I did what he cold have done a) Replaced the unit, or as I did shrink ed a tube over each wire. We modellers try to support our UK suppliers but given my experience with this supplier I would suggest we look elsewhere for service once the deal has been made. Sorry Nigel you must have hade a better deal than I did. Richard
  18. Hi John & Ken, Well I have gone and done it as my old American flying buddies would say! I have made another Pushy, well you know it goes! All I need now is a nice day for her maiden. Have used the same 2200 mAh battery and the same KD 2217-2200 Kv motor as before with a 6 x 4 prop which Pushy # 1 did well on! Time will tell have added a couple of pics.
  19. Does anyone have a decent video of a Pushy Cat actually flying that they could post???Please let me know as think it would be a great thing to show. Richard
