A place for Pushy Cat builders to hang out
Formtex1947 replied to GrahamC's topic in The 2014 Mass Build
Well folks I have to say that I have also been very pleased with my Pushy Cat. She is very responsive even with a 22012-06-2200 motor, 6x4 prop & a 2200 mAh 3S battery. Hardly any trim adjustment needed on maiden and look forward to many more fun flights. Richard -
Good article ken. Can you give me some gen on power train for Pushy as must build one. I have a 2200Kv motor, 40 amp ESC , plus 2200 3 cell battery will that do? Regards Richard
-
Hell folks, Am about to get the project started. Can anyone tell me the recommended Motor.ESC, & battery set up for the Pushy? Thanks Richard
-
Hi does any one have any experience with using the unit with say a JR 35 MHz set up such as a JR 77 Rx?
-
Thanks Peter will check them out, that said the Harlequin flies fine but was just wondering about The Rat.
-
Sorry about the no pics of my Rat! Let's try again!

Hello fellow Rat builders, A question for Peter -- Peter do you have any wing incidence figures for The Rat, and Harlequin? I attach a couple of pictures of my Rat, al that's needed now is balancing & good weather for the maiden. I shall use the new OS. 25 FP for the maiden, then if all is well change over to a OS. 25 FSR as per your suggestion. Thanks for all the help.
-
Thanks to all for the sound advice on covering The Rat wing. Will et you know how I "fare"!
-
Hi Gary, many thanks for the input, will work on that idea. Yes once she's finished I will post a few pics before the maiden!
-
I am in the process of covering my OS 25 Rat given the less than great weather this weekend! Did everyone cover the wing in one piece top & bottom, or did anyone paint the fillets on front & rear of wing to mate up with the fuselage?
-
Hey KC, Yes I am curretly building The swap rat and am almost finished the fuselage now. The wing is done have to say enjoyed the cowl a lot especially as she's going to be the IC version so lots of cut outs etc. When she begins to get assembled and looks Ok will post a picture. Hope she flys as well as she looks so far.

Many thanks Peter for the great build pictures. My word you have a clean wokshop, wish mine looks as clean! Richard

Peter, was not trying to be smart when I asked if I could use a OS 35 Max or FP for the Swap Rat ,just wish I could get my hands on an OS 25FSR. Have been very pleased with the Harlequin I built over a year ago, hence am looking forward to building the IC version of The Rat! Finally, do you have any build pictures on the Rat build or can I basically use the general idea as per Harequin? Regards Richard
-
Hi folks, Am about to build a IC version ofThe Rat and was wondering if anyone had used as Peter suggested an OS 25 glow in their version. I have available an OS.35 and was wondering if possibly that would be too much power (can one have too much))?? Any help would be useful. Regards all Richard
