This is the link Thanks for that kc, I will get those issues addressed right now. you couldn't be a little more specific on the display issue as it is fine on my PC. Yes the price, when the sight goes live, the price for each kit is displayed as you select the size and type of kit you want standard or Deluxe. Unfortunately my limited skills on the web builder site I'm using meant that the only way I could disable the ecommerce part of my site was to show zero stock, however doing this shuts down the whole process. it will only be like that until I have dealt with any issues on the sight its self. which hopefully wont take to long. As for the copyright date, that was on the original template I used, I must have missed it when removing the bits I didn't need. thanks kc for your feedback, it is much appreciated. Richie

Ok at long last I have a website I am going to leave it up in test mode for a week or so, so that anyone interested can have a look around the site and let me know what you think. I will be leaving the stock level at zero so that no purchases can be made until I am 100% happy that all is well so enjoy and I look forward to your feedback. To access my site you will have to type maddogdesignsuk.com into your browser, for some reason it doesn't show up in google search, working on that now. cheers Richie

So many 'professional' websites for major companies are hopeless that you will probably do much better yourself! But it doesnt matter as long as it draws in the customers..... that's my intention kc. just as soon as I have had someone check that I have done everything correctly. its actually surprisingly quite simple to build a website. I have tried to keep it simple because I personally despair at these sites. where you feel like you are on a journey of discovery, just trying to buy a pair of jeans lol. that, and it will be easier to add a new page with each new design I release, if its kept simple. Ok so I have spent the past few days working on this build blog gallery idea. then I tested it and oh dear, not one of my best ideas. I mean its ok if you just want to view the pictures but it is useless as a building aid as you cant select where to start in the gallery. for example, say you were halfway through the build and you wanted to use the gallery as a guide, you would have to allow the gallery to go through its sequence until you get to where you need to be and it takes an age to run through its sequence. Therefore I have decided to transfer the whole lot into a word document convert to PDF and add it to my website to download, like the instruction manual, easy peasy lemon squeeze, I think This will have to wait until Monday because I'm taking the weekend off to sink a beer or three over the magic weekend (rugby league festival up here in Newcastle) the rugby league people are kindly, coming up here to show us rugby union people how not to play rugby haha. Certainly when I worked in a model shop both smelt very similar... I tried both and there was very little difference between them, with the product I bought being only slightly better, Richie

The covering stuck to it like a barnacle to a rock.....(that's the clean version to keep the mods happy). A Barnacle to a rock, haha (got to keep the mods happy). does PVA reactivate when heat is applied I wonder, I feel an experiment is in order. it could save a fortune (well a few quid) haha. Anyway I am happy enough with it so far, that I have decided to recover some of my more tatted looking models, over time naturally because at the moment I still don't like covering much. Richie

Has anyone ever used this covering adhesive before? I have always hated covering with a passion. I always ended up with air bubbles or creases or film lift, epically after a few flights. I painted some of this on the bottom of the fuselage, ironed on the covering as normal and there is not a bubble, crease of lift in sight, its perfect. why didn't anyone tell me about this years ago. sorry the pic is on its side lol

Kim Hi Kim, thanks for your reply. oh its way better than the Acrowot but then I designed it for me so its exactly what I like. I'm sure Chris Foss would say exactly the same about his model when comparing it to the Hammerhead lol. With regard to the build blog, having read your comment and had time to thing about it. Keeping them separate is the way I have written the instruction manual. So it makes perfect sense to do build blog the same way. I have also decided to have each assembly on a separate Gallery so you don't have to scroll through endless photos of one assembly to see another. this will also help those like myself. who like to work on with something else whilst the glue dries. I will post a link on here, just as soon as its finished, that way the members on here can let me know what they think. Hi all, well the decision to go with my own website design was made for me yesterday, when I received a phone call saying that my web designer didn't think he could build a website from scratch in the time I have given him. Not a total surprise to me as my deadline was a bit tight. Therefore I'm looking for some more input from you if you don't mind. This time its on how I should do the build gallery on my website. This is what I have done so far. as shown in the screenshots below, I have used a simple gallery showing photos and text sliding from right to left, with the option to click on the gallery to change it to full screen with manual navigation arrows so that the viewer controls the speed and duration that each photo can be viewed. That was the easy bit. The thing I need your help with is, how I should sequence the build gallery. should I approach it the same way I have done this build blog. Should I do it as I would build the model.switching from wings to fuselage while waiting for glues to dry as I have done in this build blog (which in my view is the sensible option) or do I do wing then fuselage?? Hi all, I hope I find you are all well on this fine day. I just thought id give you a quick update on the website situation. Well I have heard nothing from my web designer other than, he cant use anything from the previous web designers website, something to do with the script he used is not compatible with the system the new guy uses. oh and because of that it may take a little longer . So being forever the optimist and knowing that all will be just fine I have started to build a backup plan with that Wix design your own website on line thingy, you know for when I hear the, 'I'm sorry I cant do it'. yes I know deep down everything will be ok but having being burned once, I am taking no chances this time. So here's what I started yesterday, its not exactly what I wanted but it is close enough. I have given my web designer a deadline of the 19th May. if he hasn't got my website up and running by then. I will just go with this. When, if my web designer does have something to show me. I will try to upload both, his finished offering and my feeble attempt and you can help me choose which to use.
