  1. Good news ripmax have said May for the wots wot around... Makes me want to get the acro wot out now just shame about this wind and rain.. Maybe one day soon..
  2. Well let's hope ripmax sort it out before the summer and get them into the shops..Can't wait will start saving my pennies..well done Chris foss..
  3. From Nuremberg Is it true that Chris foss is releasing a wots wot artf ????? If so can not wait all the old boys at the field go on about how good these planes are.
  4. I had a dremel 300 for many years has just given up the gost so am now looking to up grade does the 3000 use the same tools as the 300. The dremel is a good piece of kit more powerful than others on the market. Well worth the money
  5. Hi si, many thanks for that so would you recommend just using a standard Niamh battery for the receiver. I do want to run 6v though.. Have been told that futaba receivers sometimes don't like more than 6v being run through them so that's why I thought about a regulator.. May be I am thinking to much about this and should just stay as normal.. I think I will place the tank on the c of g then ,so when I do start moving the c of g back ,I won't have to many troubles from loosing weight when the tank drains..
  6. Hi, just brought myself the seagull yak54 and am going to put the roto 25cc into it. I want to use a li-fe battery to supply power to my futaba receiver at 6v, so My servos run at 6v .Do I need a regulator and if so want one.. And second people at my field are staring to use 2 batteries one as a back up. Now do you need to use a power box or again is there a regulator out there that excepts two li-fes. Last question people have told me that when setting up 3d planes to place the fuel tank on the c of g line is this really necessary as I am only just starting out in 3d flying. Can I just place the tank in the same place as glow.. Many thanks people for yr comments..
  7. Many thanks for that phil 9 have opened up the back and had a look.. Looks ok a job again many thanks
  8. Hi I need to replace my areial on my 8fg transmitter has any body done this I know there is a clip up the shaft some where to hold the wire in place but not sure where it is and how to open and close the clip many thanks wayne
  9. Hi guys am looking to convert over to petrol have been looking at the new 10cc evo..I've been told at the field that I fly at small petrol engines are not very reliable so have been waiting for the magazine to trail it.. As for the tanks and tubing my local hobby store has them in stock..
  10. hi has anybody brought or tested this new petrol engine from evolution yet.. 10cc petrol is ideal for me to convert a few of my models over to petrol to save on few costs. i do like my glow engines but the price of fuel now adays is so expensive u tend not to fly as much....electric for me doesn't give me buzz so these new petrol engines look great and it keeps the hobby alive for me..
  11. Does anybody make an artf auto gyro would love to fly one but have to many models on the building board to take on another project..
  12. Also take the wind speed off until you are more confident as when at the field you won't fly in high wind anyway..I kept to one plane as well until I could take off and land and also do a threw rolls loops etc..
  13. Hey rob, the guys fly mentors at are field and many newbies use this plane as a trainer it flies very stable and is a good electric trainer.. The flight sim is a good way to learn the basic controls but I found it does not teach you the distance
  14. When starting I recommend new servos you don't want hassle with old servos or cheap servos that don't centre or work properly.. When at the field you want to fly its horrible when yr sent away un able to fly cause u have faulty equipment... Futaba 3003 are very good cheapish servos I have had no problems on my trainer plane with these.. Hitch also do equivalent servos at roughly the same price..
