  1. Dwain, This is looking wonderful. I have a kit arrived but sitting in the workshop at the moment. the photos of your build are making my lips water. Question - you mention you used " H.K. film ". As a novice could you enlighten me as to what this is? Not Oracover I am guessing? Also, does the film adhear to the ribs well on the concave underside? I am just wondering how a taught film can be made to follow a concave shape. If it does stick well to the ribs and that this is the key, is there a danger it could separate and become a flat surface over time/use? Merry Xmas! Nick
  2. Hi Dwain, I have bought The Answer kit as I saw a picture of the finished model and thought it looked wonderful. As I am a novice builder I would certainly appreciate it if you continue to post photos of your progress, and perhaps any tips on overcoming issues you might encounter. Best wishes, Nick
  3. Hi Dwain, would you mind sharing your electric configuration (motor/ESC/battery) and what changes you had to make to the IC plan and kit? I am about to start building and would probably prefer electric if it isn't too tough a mod. If you have completed the model how does your electric version fly? Nick
  4. Dear All. My son, 8, is very lean at making things and of course I would like to get him involved in this hobby. I myself used to make models in my youth but never became proficient at R/C flying, always a regret. We are in South London (Herne Hill) so local flying spaces I guess will be an issue(?). Clearly ideally we will need to find a club and helpful experts in time. For now during lockdown we are focusing on building models and have kicked off with the Vintage Model Co "Simple Cub", which looks great and has a build video, ideal for kids. Now to my question - I believe it would be helpful to purchase a flight simulator that he can use with the RadioLink Mode 2 transmitter we bought. The question is which flight sim package is best in helping complete novices learn to fly model planes. Realism and entertainment are clearly not so critical, rather the ability to help my son get as proficient as possible before he tries to fly an actual model. Does someone have any ideas on this? I am happy to spend money and I am not looking to get sonething for nothing, I want to buy what is best. Can anyone give me some advice? Best wishes, Nick
