  1. Hi chaps, moving to Salisbury in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone is in the area and knows a few good slopes and fields please. I'll be in the Harvard Heights area, spoilt for choice for fields but wanted to know if any are frequented as being good etc... Oh and would there be a club in the area please? Many thanks, DF.
  2. Yet another " I don't know much about this"..... and if he really does not.... then why ask people to message him with questions? **LINK**

I eagerly downloaded it, got the thing up and running and was quite dismayed as to how difficult it was to fly. I know simulators are only a representation of the real thing but I didnt think I would make such a pigs ear of it on the tablet. How realistic is Pica sim ? I am not as eager to fly the wild thing any more. Hi Dean, don't let it put you off! ;0) The sim is in my opinion very realistic, but nothing will exactly match the real thing! Try a few different scenerys and also have a play with the weather setting etc, each scenery has its own unique lift and wind patterns as well as areas of dead or turbulant air depending on terrain. l'll be honest, I maidened my Zagi before using the sim and as it bounces (just like the Wildthing) I say just go for it with the maiden and treat the sim as a tool to aid learning. :0) Best thin I found with the sim is learning to fly faster planes and practice landing again. Go for it with the WT! they are (from what I have learned on this forum) almost indestructible! Have fun and best of luck! :0)

I hear what youre saying about not wasting my money and wrecking the plane, trouble is I don't want to fork out on a trainer and then once I'm confident have to buy another plane. Thanks again for the input! Better to buy a trainer and learn to confidently fly four channel, then you spend a little more money on something more advanced than buy a nice warbird, re-kit it and then go buy another and the same happens (think groundhog day) ;0) Iknow which route is more sensible and cheapest! Flying is not just about keeping it in the air, it is also about learning to predict a planes response to differing conditions or what wing shape has what limitations (for want of a better eay of saying it). A trainer really is the best way to go mate, but you are of course free to go your own way, and I wish you the best of luck :0)
  7. I think it is a great fun idea. Go for it! :0)
  8. Great news! glad it went well. Look forward to the vid ;0)
