  1. Posted by WolstonFlyer on 11/02/2013 17:55:25: Your first post was not really that offensive Mr Loop2Loop-UK, there are juniors that read this website so there are some rules on language.... but if they were subscribed to this thread by email they would have already received the first version by email anyway. very true, it was not intended to offend anyone, it was just my point of view, and when it come to defending my rights to have this hobby, i can be a bit agressive, sorry to everyone , but like delta said and i agree with him whole hearted, it would not surprise me if there was some license invented for this hobby at somepoint in the far future.. L2L
  2. Im a lone flyer, why should people like me be punished by some new bmfa rule or some goverment person decides to punish people further by making up some new rule in a form of a License or yet a Hobby tax that ruins the HOBBY for eveyone that enjoys it, thats right it's a HOBBY not the real thing, once the goverment or the bmfa start to impead on our rights to have this hobby as in, " you got to have a license " then the HOBBY is ruined for many people who enjoy it, like someone said on here, whats next an MOT for a model aircraft or show a bmfa cert just to buy a model, i have been enjoying this HOBBY for over 30yrs now and always will be a lone flyer, i will never stop just cos some person wants to ruin my hobby, i agree with common sense BUT License's, NOOOooo.. L2L Oh by the way BEB. their is no offensive stuff in this post, i just amended it..
  3. Why was my post deleted, it was perfectly valid.. L2L
  4. depends on what you call value, they would make a good winter challange to get em flying again, i would change em to leccy if it was me buying them, i dont fly i.c no more, too noisey and too much hassle, as for the engines, i would refurbish them and then sell em on, for what ever i could, as for the radio gear, a clean up and test, get what i could for it, if anything at all, maybe a swap of some sort, as for the airframe, i would get it flying again, as for 55 quid, well, at least it would make an intresting winter challange project.. L2L..
  5. Hiya Chris, those will shine up nice with a bit of TLC, i would strip all the covering, check the airframe for any repairs needed, either, change to leccy or refurbish the motors you have on them, might i suggest a toothbrush and some surgical spirits to help cleanup those I.C's, i can see ALOT of potental, as for the i.d's of those flyers, 2nd aircraft looks like it " could be " a Ben Buckle, and and 1st, im not too sure TBH, dont land fill'em, it would be a waste, like i said, a little TLC will have em flying again!. L2L
  6. i agree i dont like the irresponsible flyers either, so giving them some direction instead of a hard time is fairer and better promotion for the hobby, i used to take this hobby serious, but no more, i had my fair share of building scale models and so on, too time consuming for me now, like alot of people here, i just want to build something simple and have fun with it " being Responsible" of course , the imprestion i got " maybe it was just me" in past threads, is that lone flyers are not very welcome and shuned " sorry for my bad spelling " i am a big supporter of this hobby and would hate to see it ruined by some goverment TAX or Rule because of some bad attitude flyers, i did not mean to give off a bad vibe, so to speak, just putting my point forwould. L2L
  7. I suppose you guys must " hate" lonewolf flyers like myself, i dont fly with clubs no more due to bad attitudes from my last club, dont misunderstand me, i dont hate clubs, but at the same time in my experiance i will never returne to a club again " to much childish attitudes", i have plenty of safe places i can fly and not bother anyone, i have had 30yrs of mostly happy flying, and now that i have converted to leccy, my models are very quite.. L2L
  8. Thats a loverly Auto-Gyro, makes me wana build one too
  9. Hiya Rimmerrail, im into foamys myself, try this stuff, **LINK** ... I forgot to mention, Scroll down to find the acrylic spray, i find it is friendly to EPO & good old Depron, but as always use a test piece first, better safe than sorry..   L2L Edited By Mr Loop2Loop-UK on 18/09/2012 18:52:06
  10. Thanks for ur fast reply guys, , sounds like hobbyking might have some tech issues judging by a few other comments .   L2L Edited By Mr Loop2Loop-UK on 10/09/2012 20:39:20
  11. Hiya guys, i was just wondering if anyone has had any problems with getting onto the HobbyKing website as i just cant get onto it, it is like the site has been removed, im wondering if it is just me or does anyone else have problems getting onto their site.. L2L
  12. yer granted his flying was a bit unsafe, but that building i suspect was his and the only person around him was his wife, i admit i did laugh when he piled into the tree , done it myself a few times over the years and i have over 30yrs experiance , if you look he was not on a club ground and the place he was flying was clear, the only thing he was likely to hit was the trees lol, you dont need to have and instructor to learn BUT it does help if you can afford one, but saying that you do need a good place to fly, and that place in the vid was a bit dodgy for a beginner lol , Practice makes Perfect.. L2L
  13. well his takeoff was a bit unstable, its not a beginners plane i know, but we all learn from our mistakes, even if its not with an instructor and self instructed, we HUMANS tend to learn by our mistakes and alot of flyers i have met in my time of 30+yrs of rc aircraft flying have been self instructed, yes they do make boo boo's when takinf off and landing but thats all part of the FUN, the pilot in that vid should of eyed for a better spot to fly or at least circled a few times to eye his landing spot, crashing is all part of the learning process and there is no such thing a a pro rc pilot because it is a HOBBY and not a paid job, hobbys should be enjoyed and not subject to snobbyness, after all rc hobbying is for everyones enjoyment..
  14. Thankyou for the welcome, feeling happyer already , i will be posting some pics of my fleet very soon, at the momment i am in the finishing stages of preping my spitfire for spraying, im going to spray it in the tiger meet colours, im not the sort to follow the rest of the sheep i prefure to do my own thing, and as the tiger meets are a big thing, then i thought, why not , its different, its colourfull, and its a different type of paint work for the spitfire, i always say, think outside the box and you will be more creative. ....
  15. Hia guys, im new to the forum here so i thought i should give a short intro about myself, i have been building and flying for 30+yrs now mainly scratching , i've built and flown 100's of different types of aircraft, i used to be a club member when i was younger, but i felt unwelcome there because i was not one of the " old boys " so i left and have not even considered joining anymore clubs , so i fly on a massive bit of farm land which is a long long way from any population or traffic, so i guess that makes me a bit of a lone wolf , i love r/c aeromodelling, i was inspired by my grandfather and father who was both regular flyers and i always went with them when i was a nipper , anywas guys thats a little bit about me..
