  1. i recently purchased a 3D printer XYZ da Vinci, pretty happy with it so far. The worst issue I'm having is with the very poor softwear that you have to use, I think there is a way around this with a bit of practise.   The main reason for getting one was for printing prototype wrist watch cases, but as I'm looking at build an 85" corsair I thought I'd have a look at some scale parts. The first print didn't go too well as you can see from the photo below of the gun sight. But I'm pretty happy with it all and the watch design came out looking good. I'll post some more photos as I do more things. Edited By Chris Perkins 1 on 20/11/2016 15:34:59
  2. Okay thanks Cymaz. John sound like you had a ruff deal with that mustang! I've had two hangar 9 so far, the 80" sundowner and the funtana x100 and both have been spot on. Did you say anything to them? Could you please let me know how you get on with the top Flite mustang? I have a bit of time as I have to sell my kyosho mustang 90 with RCP 120sp and servos, one of those durafly auto G2 and some old pt-17 thing with a os max 25 (I think) I bought but never flew. Also have a load of watches to sell from my collection.
  3. Thanks Cymaz, do you know if they have a uk distributor for the remote glows? Or do I needs to get googling? John why Top Flite?
  4. Haha Tom I'd love to build both but I did promise I'd only do the one. I must admit I am kinda leaning towards the Corisar as it seems like a better kit? cymaz I like the Evo 7-77 so I think that defiantly going to be on m y shopping list? What remote glow did you go for or have you converted to petrol?
  5. Right I've not had the chance to fly a lot since purchasing my first house amoung some other hobbies one of which is horology which isn't cheap either. So I've decided to sell most of models and build one bigger warbird preferably with a radial in it. I thought I had nailed it down to the hangar 9 corsair but then I found the Top Flite FW 190 at the same size. I like the idea of the sliding canopy on the corsair but it is almost double the price of the 190. I've had a couple of H9 models and love the quality but have never had a TF kit Anyone got any comparison advise on th two? I've looked at as many reviews as I can but they both seem pretty good. 6. I tend to use Duraglo 5% in my two stroke although I do have a Moki 210 which I use straight fuel. My four strokes tend to vary duraglo 16% on my satio but I'm just tring to get a RCV 120sp running on 10% prosynth.
  7. Thanks for the help, I bought a simple wall plug charger that uses the balance plug to charge. I do think if (More like when) I get a little bit more into eletric flight I'll look at getting an iMax B6 sounds like a good option. Thanks!
  8. Sorry Pete it’s a R615 Thanks for all the help, I tried again last night, one definitely isn’t working right. I tried the battery both ways and just got a red and orange light and the other when you bind it doesn’t do anything to the servo's, then when you turn the TX/Rx off and back on again it just flashes orange and wont connect to the Tx. I messaged the guy on eBay and he said to send them back and he will replace them, Lucky hey!
  9. Thanks BEB, and this one will charge the turnigy batterys. I only ask because the pins in the plug are round and i've seen alot of spade connectors. Thanks, Chris
  10. Hi All, really new to electric stuff, got a auto g2 and 3 1300mah 3s lipo's no idea what charger to get, don't want to spend a stupid about of money on one. Just something that will charge the batters and plug into the wall. Any suggestions would be great thanks. Chris
  11. Hi All, I bought two of these orangerx from flebay. One of them was binging, (solid orange light) but wouldnt move the servos, and then when you take the battery out and plug it in properly the orange light starts flashing again. And with the other one nothing happens unless you plug the battery into the battery/bind port (meaning I can't bind it) but all that happens is a red light slowly comes on then an orange light comes on but even slower. has anyone got any ideas or are these a diff. Batch? Thanks, Chris
  12. Right had another 30 minutes last night. Managed to get the remote glow sorted. I had to mount it on the cowl so I cut a small hole, just enough for a glow starter to fit in and then bolted it together. I also managed to get the fuel tank in the other night and plumbed up. It is slightly further back than its mean to be but thats due to the RCV it should be okay. Here i have plumbed it all up (Yes I know i need a pipe on the breather ) I have put a thing in the cowl for the fuel pipe. I had to file this out A LOT to get it to fit how i wanted it to. the remote glow isn't bad quality, with an earthling wire. The plug boot has a spring loaded attachment which secured it very well. Heres a few picture of how the remote glow is attached. I was hoping to get it flush but the end just sticks out with enough room to get the cowl on easy. you can see on right had side of the picture below the where the fuel filler pipe goes. Here I have attached cowl (Not crewed in though. You can see how the setup works. The remote glow is out of the way of the fuel pipe for safety reasons. Thought it would be a good idea incase it broke and melted the pipe (Might Happen). Might get the oportunity to fire her up tomorrow as I'm not in work until the afternoon if at all. Will get back to you if I do.
  13. right sorry its taken a while I've been busy recently. I've got some pictures of the Mustang ive glued the exahust to some balsa andhollowed them our so they can be used as a oulet for the air. I also painted these matt black as the shiny ones dont quote look right. Here you can see I have hollowed them out not the neatest jobs I must admit. Here they are Installed and painted think they look alot better than they were. I've also got a picture of the intake all be it not a very good one. The exhuast was a bit of a pain and I hope its enough. I've pur a few deflectors in there so hopfully it will be fine. Also got some fuel and the remote glow so should be able to fire her up soon
