  1. I don't know what is going on but I can not add any more pictures I try later
  2. After the success off my Bobbers I decided to go slight bigger and better so in November last year I acquired a ASP 160 twin from H.K. uk warehouse at a price I could not refuse and earing good feed back on this os copy I went for it at £320.00 all in and decided to build a 108" almost quarter scale of my favourite plane with some slight changes to the building of it. The first was the building of the wing tips and came up with this so easy and quick to do out of 4mm aluminium tube bend over a jig and build the rest around did 2 tips in 1 hour. Then I chose to use robart pin hinges for flaps and aileron at 45 degree so Smooth this way definably no servo buzzing Then I sue robart 1/5 scale main landing gear witch will take a 6" inflatable tyres same as my last bobber. Then all the servo will be under the seat including a multiplex gyro and on board glow and a new switch charger for rx and glow battery. So there is nothing to see here. But most importantly I am now using JB Weld on all my carbon joining much much stronger than epoxy in my test. The rest of the photos are in my album and this week I am going to set the radio and add more pictures nearly there now and I was hopping to take it to greenacres in July.
  3. Customer support is when a retailer support is customer over a issue and help to solved !, If ripmax said to is retailers is ok to post to them direct that's ok saves a lot of time and money , but in my experience with jperking you can not deal direct with them and you need to contact the retailer( I found it strange mind you) so there we have it, different polices. As for Ripmax to take the problem on board is good news and maybe they will go in to fast mode and resolve as quickly as possible so that Adrian get back to is hobby but so far he doing all the donkey work .Why. Any way I am calling in it a day. Happy xmas everybody
  4. Daren I call it Customer Support and that is what Adrian not getting
  5. If Adrian is not going to be out of pocket and that's is what he wants to do that is good enough and probably quicker to get him back flying. Otherwise what's the point of a retailer ! In that case why don't we get our engine direct from the manufacture and cut the middle man out and save money. I am saying this on principle. If I buy a wot 4 I don't think Chris Foss would be interested in dealing with me he will tell me to go and sort it out with ripmax and they to the manufacture of it, And that is exactly what I would do if I was O.S (and then I will remind Ripmax to do there duty)The retailer need to take some responsibility if they want to make a leaving, other wise the grass is green on the outer side and don't blame the cow for going there.
  6. Yes Jon you are absolutely right, because he dealt with you and he paid you, you where the one to sort out and that's is wright and logical, the first stop is always the retailer or manufacture in you case, or who ever takes the money So if it came from Probuild U.K they need to sort out with the supplier of this engine not the customer. We the customer just put up with the inconvenience but we do have our rights after all. Hope he get to the bottom of this as there is something wrong here and is not just the engine.
  7. I agree with you Jon 100%.But Probuild is the supplier and there for responsible or at least get involved. But lets say Probuild got the engine not from Ripmax but somewhere else on line outside U.K then is nothing to do with Ripmax If I want to I can buy a O.S engine from Japan or Honk Kong but if goes wrong I would not expect Ripmax to sort it out (yes I will probably give a shot as a have nothing to lose) but after all I wont take a new car to another dealer to fix it within is warranty just not wright .When I bought my new Hitec radio and the charger went wrong I could not returned to jperkings I hade to return it to my shop and they returned to jperkings they fixed returned to the shop and I got it back from the shop. The shop was out of money from posting back to them and me but that's not my problem, I just put up with the inconvenience things happens and that's the way they work under warranty
  8. Yeah but did Probuild got it from Ripmax ! if so they should have a record of off it and there are responsible for it, there for they need to contact Ripmax on you behalf and sort it out. If you buy a new car from a dealer the dealer is responsible for it in the first year if any thing go wrong mechanically that's the way it is. Any way good luck
  9. Adrian did you buy this engine in the U.K if so Ripmax should be involved in helping you sort out they should know by the engine serial number, but if you got it outside U.K I think you best bit is O.S Direct
  10. Thanks Geoff I have a new charger that came with my hitec sport 6 and is design for nimh tx and rx and has got 2 light and the rx light goes off when fully charged I think would this be ok ,otherwise I don't mind keeping a eye on it, if is rated at 300 milliamps how long would it take to charge my 2 nimh battery rated at 3.800 milliamps each thanks again I hope I am making sense here
  11. I am confused is not the size of the battery but the voltage the rx charger is for 4 cell 4.8V so it must push 4.8 volt to charge 4 cell at 300 miliamps I am going to connect it to a 2.4V surely is to much and might damage the 2 battery's So confused Thanks
  12. Hi I have been told that I can charge my on board 2 cell 3.800 nimh battery's that I use for my on board glow with a standard receiver 4.8v charger is this correct ! Thanks you in advance
  13. Love it Soren but I notice that the pilot forgot to put is seat belt on i wont tell I you don't What a lovely field too Regards
  14. Last night I put the Optima Rx in my Electric bobber and then try the HK 3 axy gyro and is all fine ready for the week to try. At the same time I discovered that all of my Minima receivers are not compatible whit the HK 3 axi Gyro only the Optima receiver are compatible (mystery solved). Tonight I will set up my Big bobber to with incidentally I will put in the multiplex 3 axys gyro All this so far on the basic settings once I finish reading the book I am going to play with the advance settings So far so good and very pleased with it
  15. Hi Pilots i have just been treated to Hitec Flash 8 by my I have had the Hitec sport 6 for years now and never let me down but with 2 servos for aileron 2 servos for flaps with a total of 7 servo, y leads here and there one with reverse built so that one servo can be reversed ,servo slow from HB to slow the flaps and so on the amount of wires was unbelievable all on a 6 channels receiver. Now 2 extra channel might not be a lot to some of you but to me is like been propelled in to another dimension. Bean able to play with each servos how I want is something else This to me is going to be a big leap and hopefully a easy one I have read the article by Mr Ashby and I was impress for what you get for you money and if is good enough for Mr Ashby is good enough for me. I notice that the is no tread for it so I would like to create one with you help as the Flash 8 is probably same in programing the basic as the Flash 7 I have never hade this type of radio in my life moved from Futaba F6 35mzh to Hitec Sport witch is nearly the same for basic programs but this is something else. As any body got one. What do you make it of it. Is it easy to program/understating. Any hint and tips!
  16. Hi to all I have just finish making a manometer to balance my twin carburettor on my motorbike and is very easy to make and use So I was wondering if it could be used for twin carbs big boys engines used in our hobby as it balance the air vacuum in the intake for a super smooth twin engine application and cost less than a fiver Just a trough Regards
  17. Thanks for all you ideas pilots, here is what my electrician give me to fit and it works a treat can remember the name of it but you push down to activate and let go to release simple next is painting and go fast stripes
  18. Kevin I never trough of that, but do I get away from charging them for 24 hours and not 48 my charger put out 500mah I think and the battery's are 12 amp or something like that
  19. Hang on a minute what if I made a throttle pedal in wood on a hinge and with a return spring put 2 brass plate at the back so that when you press the pedal down it touches the other plate and there for make the circuit I know I only have one SpeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeD but it would be very easy to make and at no cost
  20. Thanks once again Pilots but all I got in skip was the motor and battery the back end of the mobility scooter no front end, the idea was to build with out spending money if I can help it (I am the tightest man you ever meet) I like the idea of Phil using a 'gear shift' gear 1 forward speed 1and gear 2 backward speed 2 or maybe some kind of paddle switch at the back of steering wheel for on and off on right and gear 1 and 2 on left something like formula 1 cars Also at the moment I am charging the battery one at the time with my 12 volt charger for 24 hours each, that means I need to dismantle the battery every time but most importantly my kids need to wait 48 hours before the can get on itand race I wish I hade a 24 volt charger Any more idea's are welcome thank you for you help Regards Giuseppe
  21. Thanks Phil what the change over switch look like are they normal household switch and when you say Both switches one way is half dose that mean the motor is running on 12 volts! then I need to figure out how to incorporate on the throttle pedal how do I do that! Thank again
  22. Well I am not good at electronics but I know that there is a 20 amp overload switch that it pop out when there is a over load I know that because when my boy hit the fence and left the switch on it pop out and you push in to reset maybe that is the bench march but I don't mind making overkill one that is just to be safe I also believe that a normal household switch is rated at 6amps where do go from here Thanks Dave
