Forum Code of Conduct
Beth Ashby Moderator replied to Martin Harris - Moderator's topic in Forum User Guides
The RCM&E forum was created as a space for aeromodellers to come together, share knowledge, and support one another in our shared passion. It has always been intended as a welcoming and friendly environment where members can exchange ideas, ask for advice, and engage in constructive discussions. Unfortunately, we have noticed an increase in unkindness from some members recently, which has made the forum feel less welcoming. This is not the atmosphere we want to foster, and many of these behaviors go against the forum’s Code of Conduct. Disagreements are natural, and we fully understand that not everyone will see eye to eye. However, we encourage all members to approach discussions with thoughtfulness and kindness. Healthy debate is valuable, but it should always be conducted with respect. If this pattern of unkindness continues, we will have no choice but to remove those who persist in disregarding the forum’s guidelines. This is something we would rather not do, as every member is a valuable part of the community. However, maintaining a positive and supportive environment is our priority. We ask that everyone keeps this in mind when posting or replying. A strong, supportive community is built on mutual respect, and we appreciate your cooperation in maintaining that spirit. Thank you for being a part of the RCM&E forum. Beth RCM&E- 1 reply

As promised, an update... the problems seem to be stemming from the server and us needed a new one. They're looking into which is the best to move it onto and will keep me in the loop and in turn, I'll pop any updates I get in here. Beth

untilChristchurch & District MFC’s open waterplane event is at Longham Lake. It’s for electric power models, no IC or turbines, EDF by arrangement. Longham is a few miles north of Bournemouth: full details are at www.cdmfc.org and the Longham pages. Parking is 200m from the flying point and there are toilets on site but no other facilities – bring your own lunch! There will be a rescue boat for unlucky models. Contact Mike at [email protected] three days before for weather check.
