Re the previous postings on the Chippie being used for 'spying' flights, I was looking at the BBMF website here, there's a little more history. Interestingly whilst googling for the BBMF there was a link here showing the chance of technical tours of 4 hours, which involves an in depth hangar tour and a theory class for subject aircraft, marvellous for those wonderful aircraft of the BBMF and highly sort after, next available in the winter of 2015. Might be possible for their Chipmunks I wonder. Mind you, it'll cost £20.   Edited By LPP on 09/05/2014 23:27:54 Edited By LPP on 09/05/2014 23:29:04

Posted by Danny Fenton on 10/04/2014 23:02:35: I have something that might be of interest but it is a chicken and egg thing. I have a friend in Holland that has kindly offered to CNC the hinges. Now those that have perhaps got the plan and have looked at this will know what I am talking about? Anyway there are 28 seperate parts all cut from G10 or 1/16 fibreglass board, I have only shown a selection. Now if you are going to cut them yourself then great, if you are going to modify the wing and use Robart pin hinges again thats fine. But if you would like a set CNC'd can you let me know? I cannot tell you how much a set will be but the material alone is £5 a sheet plus postage thats enough for two sets. Is anybody interested in me pursuing this? Cheers Danny Hi Danny I've been following this thread and hope to join you all in the build in October. So, if it's not too late, I would appreciate you also adding me to the list for the hinges, many thanks. I have already ordered the wood pack and bundle, due any day but work has called me away for a few weeks, something to look forward to checking out when I'm home again. Cheers Pat

  7. When I phoned to renew my subscription, I quoted the ref. no. given on the renewal notice, gave all my details, card number etc. then asked about the freebie. The young lady then told me the ref. no. didn't show a freebie. On asking how I got that she said it all depends on the ref. no. quoted to her, she had no way of knowing until the number was punched in. I then cancelled, re-phoned the next day with the ref. no. from the advertised page in the mag. Got my quad last week. Hope I wasn't too rude to her when I cancelled. From what she said they have no idea what you might be 'entitled' to until the ref. no. is punched in on the screen. Couldn't advise me on what to quote. She did say there's numerous options, all depends on ref. no.
