  6. Is it just me or are terms such as 'performance' and the ability to 'do the book' used a little lightly in reviews? It seems that even normal sport aerobats have 'performance'. Either these models are all brilliant or the term is being used incorrectly. The best web definition i've found is "the manner in which or the efficiency with which something reacts or fulfills its intended purpose." but i'm not sure this sums up performance for aircraft. Instead, I view performance as the ability to travel very fast or perform complicated manoeuvres. I don't know many other people's view on it, but i'd like to make some full size comparisons. The spitfire was said to have high performance as it was very technologically advanced for its time, whereas the brewster buffalo was summed up by its pilots as a nice plane to fly, but not in a war. This was because of its slow speed and poor manoeuvreability.   The other thing that annoys me is the 'do the book' thing; i don't know how many times i've read something similar to 'it can do the book, but not 3D'. I'm pretty convinced that 3D is now firmly established in 'the book' and therefore sport models cannot 'do the book'   Please view this as constructive criticism, i'm sure all readers will want to know exactly what the model they're looking at buying is capable of and i think particularly for people new to the hobby the use of the same terms for very different aircraft may be confusing. Here i'd like to commend the reviews from mike williams and andy ellison, i think both are very concise and to the point, giving thorough descriptions of what a model does well and what it doesn't do so well, or doesn't do at all.
  7. thought the final was pretty poor tbh, but glad spain won in the end   just hope the vuvuzelas don't catch on in the premier league, will have to watch most of match of the day next season on mute if so

  11. yes! argentina are out and rather spectacularly too     so we're down to the last 4: germany, holland, spain and uruguay. who are you putting your money on? for me its a close call, but think germany could be the dark horse of the tournament
