  1. Hi all I built this year some six or seven autogyros from famous designers here : Rich and others . I crashed a lot and today I feel safe flying my gyros NOW I want to build my own designed gyro ; I am aware of some rules I found here and there but the darkside of it is not completly cleared :cog how to , cog over or down the thrust line , hang angle, and so on ..... So my question : Could a pro ( Rich or together with other ) make a "simple" synthesis of the principal rules to observe for designing a gyro with front traction or pusher ? Thanks in advance André Edited By sebrien andre on 07/12/2014 13:24:07
  2. Markus Yes you are right concerning a little plate of GF ; But in a crash , depending how it falls , B1 will break somewhere else , not where the screws are . You never know ....! Thanks for advice André
  3. Hi all Here is a French Atom !! I made removable mast , tail and tail plane ; one never knows !!! THANKS AGAIN to RICH for the plans and the pleasure he gives us building his gyros ; I am a fan and already built a Firefly, panther . I bought the plans of Mantis and RPG to complete the collection I hope maiden this week-end if weather permits ALAN : Fast thanks to you ! Best regards from France Edited By sebrien andre on 07/10/2014 13:23:59
  4. Hi Many Thanks to Bob and Rich .... I asked to Alan Gorham who sent me a private message Best regards Andre
  5. Hi All I would like to build it ! Do you know where I can get a copy of the 2014 special issue to be "sent to France" ? Or could someone here make it for me ? Thanks for answer Andre
  6. Hi All Do you have a link for buying a gearbox for Panther or RPG ? Coolwind is out of stock for the moment for the big size ! Thanks for help Andre
  7. Hi Frank I don't know why I said N°2 !! I fly stick mode N°3 of course !! Why I asked is because as you say turning with aileron only ends up with lost of height , and this is how i often do !! The few times when I concentrate a lot for a right turn for example , I put right rudder and "left aileron" , and then I was happy with the AG behaviour . But this is not a reflex I have !! The purpose as you understand is to keep altitude using minimum aileron . Regards Andre
  8. Hi all I began flying Autogyros with Firefly , cranefly , and last , Panther . This began 3 months ago . I have been flying helicopters for 20 years now , and I have to say old reflexes are still there . My flying mode is N° 2 all cyclic left . As I have difficulty flying AG with rudder like I quick understood it is the way to fly , I wondered if it would be a benefit for me to change my flying mode permuting Aileron and rudder to fly the AG like I am used to fly helis with my old habit ! I wanted to share this idea and know what you think ? Curious to read your answers I think I will give a try ! Andre Edited By sebrien andre on 08/04/2013 10:48:32
  9. Big T I have 9kg Futaba S3305 servos not too fast but I don't understand why this would be a problem ! No stiffness in the head . One thing you are right I surely don't fly it , try to fly it, the good way because of 20 years flying helis ! I understood this with the firefly but old reflexes surely remain ! I won't give up and tell you how it goes Regards Andre
  10. Hi I did not add extra weight to get CG at right place perhaps because of overallweight (1650 gr ) and battery used 4S 3000 . I will remeber the blank between images , no problem . Richard , thanks for answers , I will continue the way you say and tell you the results Again Many Thanks Andre
