  1. Oh that's very nice! Another one I use is this:- http://earth.nullschool.net/ Use your mouse to drag around the globe, and scroll wheel to zoom in/out... Edited By MattyAndJo on 20/07/2015 11:32:03
  2. Actually, I feel ripped off now... I've just found the same one for 99p... **LINK**   How will I sleep tonight? Edited By MattyAndJo on 16/02/2015 11:26:31 Edited By MattyAndJo on 16/02/2015 11:26:55
  3. Cheers Simon! Just ordered one of those for the grand total of £1.39! Including P&P, so what if it takes a month to arrive, I can wait for that price....
  4. Same here Renault Scenic II, absolute nightmare to change the bulbs (but superb for carrying models!), what makes it worse is that when one goes the other normally feels sorry for it and follow suit within a day or two.... This time however I took it to Halfords, nice young chap did them both.. £3 a pop! Worth every single penny.... Halfords all the way from now on for me...
  5. Couldn’t agree more! I use them all the time, but as a subscriber to RCM&E you would think they don’t exist, in my very (VERY) humble opinion they have revolutionised this hobby, I can finally afford some of the equipment that would be sooooo past my financial grasp! I’ve thought for a little while RCM&E would be very lost without the likes of "rip-off-to-max" and Horizon Hobby! Just to be ultra-controversial…. I’ll say it too…. HOBBYKING!!! Bring forth the stoning.... Edited By MattyAndJo on 28/01/2015 11:24:29
  6. I'm with Bob on this one, I use them frequently on my models and think they are a cracking servo, never had a failure, but a 50cc? That's a lot of model for a budget servo!
  7. Hello Ean, Not sure if this will be of any use? Its from 1955, it shows pictures of the engines with their names...
  8. You’re not an interesting liability... Just keep buying that foam safe superglue! And avoid turning your model into an RC Submarine... somebody told me they we're strange things...
  9. Thank you, yes it's not too bad a fix (I've had worse) and although the invasion stripes look great I found they can make orientation a bit of a “challenge” when it’s in the air. But again it’s all worth it, it looks fantastic flying, just not so great in bits on the ground..... sniff.
  10. Sorry, its the 55" Cambrian... it "was" lovely... But it shall fly again!!!!!!
  11. Hi Chris, I’ve been following this thread with a great deal of interest, as I’m a recent warbird convert have found these posts so valuable to myself, currently using a “Cambrian” to practice with whilst I finish off my Brian Taylor spit. However I can’t give advice anywhere near the level of the experts on this forum (I’m truly gobsmacked at the knowledge that’s available here) I would like to pass on one piece of very obvious but valuable piece of advice which was told to me at the start but never quite ‘believed’ because like yourself I’ve gone down the wot/acro route which don’t have such bad habits... At the very start our club examiner told me “Matt, don’t let it deadstick, spits don’t like gliding!” and as I found out at weekend boy was he right, after a low pass down the runway (looking great by the way) I throttled up to pull round, when... nothing, silence filled the air! It had deadsticked for the first time. It was like a brownout, I had absolutely nothing on the transmitter, my lovely cambrian spitfire nosedived straight down into the ground, I had never felt anything like it, it was literally like my TX had switched off. He was right... they don’t glide. But it doesn’t matter, its giving me something to do of a night time and should be back in the air in a week or two (after some hard core airbrushing) and all the pain and suffering is well worth it seeing them in air! Good luck with it and trust me the pain is worth it....

    New car

Renault Megane Scenic, all the back seats come out, cheap as chips to run and insure, and massive inside! Fits all my models in with plenty of room to spare. You can also pick up a nice second hand one for a real bargain price. I've never regretted getting mine, which like you was primarily for my models.. Fitting in the wife and kids was just a bonus...
  13. Cheers Graham, that’s good to know. It would be really great to see Giant Shark back to their glory days again and would love to get back to ordering from yourselves. Again, thanks for coming on here and answering a few questions.
  14. Graham, Many thanks for the input, I have been following this thread with interest as I used Giant Shark on a regular basis to get the every day essentials, sadly as this thread has pointed out stock levels are now so bad its a bit pointless trying to order! However, could I ask something, I receive emails from GiantShark telling me wonderful things like “New 1000MegaWatt Charger now in stock!” and “Super Mega Quad Copter Motors are here!”, now that’s all fine and nice, but how about getting the basics in first? Simple things like covering, servos, connectors, push rods? It’s so frustrating seeing Giant Shark stocking these “wow!” items whilst the everyday essential stuff are now 99% listed as “Special Order”!!! Again, thanks for the input on this thread, its nice to hear that there is somebody still there, but please can we have some basics in stock first!!!!! Save me having to keep ordering from “the other side...”
  15. Plummet... A brilliant idea! So much so that I think you should start a build log for it? I'm willing to throw in one of my spare buttons I have, now having joined the "elasticated waste" set..... One question though? Although I have my BMFA 'A'... your approach does involve certain "aerobatic" manoeuvres which would need the 'B' cert possibly? Sadly making this "transceiver" unsafe for me to fly... I suppose that counts me out of spending £100 quid on such a fine example...
