  1. And I can confirm that it is now in the skip where it belongs! Weighed a ton and easily the worst model I have ever flown. Far too bad to pass on, especially as a so called trainer, so I broke it up. I'm sure they couldn't be so bad from new so maybe there were just too many repairs under the many layers of paint. I am a reasonably experienced flyer so at least I provided my club mates with some good mickey taking material. No harm done, an itch was scratched and a lesson was re-learnt ...... maybe 🤣
  2. I can see you are going to be hard work again today 😕
  3. That is still very impressive, to get 60 odd competitors is no mean feat. Good luck 👍
  4. Anyone would think you have an engineering background 🤔
  5. Same for me, assuming it's the site
  6. I feel frustrated even if you don't. You had an instructor who flew fine and you had a buddy lead (or perhaps not?) What could go wrong, you have to take every opportunity to master this hobby
  7. No these threads are like when you have a painful tooth, it's hard to resist prodding it with your tongue to see if it still hurts 😁
  8. I too come from a technical background where good data was key. However I am now retired and flying is a hobby so I have zero desire to analyse everything to death 🙂
  9. Nice to see the details on this build. One question: I like the dual elevator pushrods method but how do you get round them poking through when doing the covering? Obviously the 'Y' arrangement is a build in solution so can't be pulled out of the way when covering ... or? Thanks
  10. OK it was my fault! I was pointing it to a backup rather than the actual log files. Now to see what I can glean from it
