  1. Mowerman, ty for the information ,so far i have assembled the fuzz, starboard wing, and central section, and both Ailrons, so will be intrestng to see the final weigh in, although i think is gonna be a lot more than 5lbs,will wait with baited breath , however i was thining of a brand new motor i have stil i box "turnigyD3548/4 1100KV, could always tone it down a bit, but the fit is perfect for this model, and being retired and needing cash may save me a few bob, all views are appriciated.
  2. Could you guys give me your AUW, ? reading through i noticed the jocasta tends to be on the nose heavy side , i expect my bird to be heavy as i started the build early, and cut and fitted all the bulkheads from quarter ply, but as mentioned havent completed it yet , but thought i wold try to aim for a AUW that you guys found to be ok ? k many thanks , Regards Ron. (thanks for the above info mowerman)
  3. Monty2, well i have never used PVA with bandage before and alwas used Fiberglass resin, but the concept sounds good, when i have finished my 2nd wing i will give PVA a go, it cant be no more messy than useing fiberglass, i look forward to seeing the results, i still need to sort out the power plant yet,
  4. Hi guys, i have been reading your posts over the last few months, but first chance i have had to make a reply, i am also at the jocasta wing build stage, and must agree not the easyest of wings to build, however i really must try Andjo's idea of useing p.v.a glue with bandage, always used resin in the past, but always found it very messy no matter how careful i seem to be , i will post some wing pic asap, my left wing and centre section are now complete, sorry to here you had such trouble with the wing build Glyn.
  5. Hi Jim,,,,i am building the jocasta myself and cutting all the ribs etc, the drawing at the top of the page is a view of the cross section of the wing only, and not a rib in itself, (ie , eyeline from wing root or tip, hope that helps Jim
