  1. Posted by Don Fry on 23/02/2019 13:35:47: The feeling in my stomach is exactly the same as what I get when I maiden something Expensive Cost a lot of time Had a lot of variable guesstimates, so probable issues. Could be the duck sausage
  2. On a lighter note, Wales U20 snatch a victory over England in extra time after being under the cosh for much of the game. Still uneasy.
  3. Wales v England......given performances so far by both teams , I am rather uneasy about this one....
  4. Hi Don, a club mate had his DX9 shut down with no alarm, and the model ended up in a tree. It seems factory settings at 6.4v is too lo low. I've set mine at 7.2v although I rarely let it go below 7.8v. What have you set yours at.
  5. Seemed a long second half, but I'll bet it felt longer for the French. England dominant in all areas. The team to beat this year, but can't see anyone doing it in the remaining games.
  6. Certainly brave Don....we shall see if it's good..
  7. Entertaining first half with honors even, Ireland out muscled error strewn Scotland in the second. Going to see the Searchers on their final tour so will miss Wales second half. Hope we don't catch a cold with all the changes
  8. Good rugby played at pace by both teams, deserved win for England...wheels firmly attached. Glad Italy grabbed a few tries at the death.
  9. I fancy England today no logic in it, but Wales showed that chasing a lost cause can sometimes defy logic.
  10. Nightmare first half, Wales couldn't hold on to the ball against a French team who have remembered how they used to play, Better second half, and a great come back, although we still tried to lose it at the death. Well done boys
  11. Hi Andy, I used £ shop UHU to stick my original version together. Fuz side strengtheners were contact glued, but spars were just pushed into the slots filled with glue and left to dry for a day. None of the joints have come apart in hours of flying, including a few arrivals Ron
  12. The red bipe looks to be a Lou Andrews Aeromaster, an American kit, and reported to be a great flier.   Ron Edited By ron evans on 04/11/2018 21:13:02
  13. There are 4 models in the memory, all were working when when last used. The displays of these memories all show the voltage being maintained, but I can't check them now as I left the TX on after flying, and got 2.5hr down to 9.6v. I'll charge over night and try them all tomorrow. This DX7 is DSM2 only. Ron Edited By ron evans on 24/10/2018 22:23:57
  14. Martin, although the pack is a little tired, I don't understand why the voltage on one model memory drops to the LBA, when the others were still showing 10.7v. After overnight charge display showed 11.8v. Ron Edited By ron evans on 24/10/2018 21:41:15
  15. On Sunday at the patch a club mate flew his D.F.Alpha jet. " I've got one of those" says I, "I'll bring it up on Wednesday". It had not been used for 4 or 5 years and had a DSM2 RX installed, so it would not bind to my newest TX. My old DX7 was still in use, so I thought I'd bind it to a memory that had been vacated. Binding was ok, and I was in the process of checking controls when the low battery alarm went off, then the radio link was lost. Strangely the LBA was also sounding on the TV. Checking the battery off load showed 10.8 v, so I switched back on and rebound the model to another memory, everything was normal and showing 10.7v. I left the TX run, and it took 2hr to reach 9.6v. After a recharge I did some extensive range testing and flew the A Jet today without a problem. The LBA problem with the one model memory still persists so I think I will ground the DX7 for now. Any thoughts on the problem gentlemen. Ron

  17. Hi Stuart, had the same problem many years ago. The veneer grain changed direction every inch or so, not sure how the stuff is cut, but if off the log then it must have been the last cut. the veneer was epoxy bonded but when cured was still rippled where the grain changed. I fixed it with pollyfiller then sanding back with most of the filler gone. Today I would use a mix off lightweight filler and poly c, most will be sanded away with little weight added. Ron
  18. Yep AWJ is some player, never appears to lose his cool. in the thick of it, and questions the ref politlely. Edited By ron evans on 17/03/2018 19:37:30
  19. Hiya Dai, when are we going to get flying again...it's a long winter Edited By ron evans on 17/03/2018 19:21:48
  20. The commentator said at half time,... great grand slam for Ireland especially after Cheltenham.... What happened, did the young ladies run riot too John, AWJ is a pretty good ref, but at least Wales didn't take the ref on a training session Edited By ron evans on 17/03/2018 19:14:23
  21. How did we win that one.....butchered a few chances early in the 2nd, then defended till the end Second place though.
