  1. Sadly, a certain lack of service/communication seems to be fairly common within this hoby.
  2. Well done, Tony, that is looking so good.
  3. The Vamps came over me in Wellingborough, heading toward Southport with just under 30 mins to go for their time slot. Multi radials this AM but I couldn't get out in time to see what it might be. Vamps coming back and heading for Duxford. Reds going home in nice tight formation! Lone Spit going East(ish). Not a bad haul! Last day of the Air Show season today I believe.
  4. So, Glenn, the blood sweat and a mite of swearing came right in the end.
  5. Andy G. It's all in a good cause and I suspect you may well be granted a special dispensation when your turn comes to visit those pearly gates!! To be safe, however, my advice is to try not to be seen to enjoy such naughty talk too much!!
  6. I do remember some dayglo scheme Varsitys Tony but the "red" one I think is by far the more common one.

  8. Yes colin, I agree, but its poor old Tonys build thread, and it is getting hijacked more than a mite.
  9. A friend of mine, stupidly (naively) let her callers (Microsoft!!) into her pc. Of course they did something which later stopped her logging on. She was told it was a common and simple fault and would only cost her £5 to fix. When going through the payment process, she noticed a number 1689.45. When she queried that she was assured it was just an "account number". She abandoned everything when she realised the "number" was in fact an amount and she was just about to pay it over!! The £60 it cost her to debug the pc was cheap by comparision.
  10. Last time I was down there the choppers were doing that, and, yes the Twin otters do look very pretty>
  11. I survive, for the time being then, Peter.
  12. Sure was Colin. I flew in a Varsity and, of course, a Chippy whilst at ATC camp, Marham. I won the draw for a Linclon night flight which was sadly scrubbed when it went us. Rations box was devoured very quickly after hearing the news!! The technology driven tranisitions were plain to see. I remember, as well as the above as well as the resident Valiants, visiting Canberras, Victors and, possibly, a Vulcan. The Varsity(s) and Lincolns were being used to train bomb aimers and possibly navigators for the v bomber force although I fully expect Peter will embarrass me with some superior knowledge!! Model is looking really good by the way, Tony. Keep it up.
  13. I would think that was a rarish beasty outside Canada, Peter!!
  14. Sorry to disappoint, Max, but it also flew across very close to my house, looking, compared with the normal Sywell traffic, very big and sounding very different, and very loud. I'm guessing it actually flew over Raunds - in the fairly flat county of Northants!!

  16. Didn't you have Jaguars there for a short while, Bernard?
  17. Absolutely no doubt about that, David.
  18. RAF Stanbridge!!! Got the short straw there didn't you!!
