It is difficult for model producers as engine makers all seem to have different mounting positions.

Not all of us can make scale models as nice as that but they are sure nice to see.

Wings held on by band's is another variation. Still think model is from a retro plan of 70's type aerobatic model that came with mag in recent years.

Tip shape wrong on above.

Nice model and welcome.

Sounds like an MFA Yamamoto. Can't find a good pic of one. Were quit popular at the time but I went for a Rojair Cadet 62. The Yamamoto was British despite the Japanese name.

I think there was a "retro plan" for this style of model produced quite recently.

Full size Chipmunk has a simple stall warning system on the wing at the wing root called stall strips, often called Toblerone after the triangular chocolate bar.
They disturb the airflow over the center section causing the elevator to shake the stick. Also the disturbed flow triggers a stall to begin at the middle of the wing.
At least that is how I understand it.

In the early days of RC with just single channel or just rudder elevator we would tend to have a high approach to ensure arrival at the strip on the glide engine having stopped when it ran out of juice.
Thing is you often see type of approach used even today with throttled reliable engines.
Flyer sets up in the circuit turns into finals takes throttle to tick over and that is where it stays. The elevator then induces a roller coaster approach where air speed can get low as it levels out to slow down, this high from the ground and here is where the tip stall can bite some types.
Something left over from the days of no power approaches or poor low speed reliability with engines of old and was often taught even when full house radio became the norm about the time I started in RC.
I still fly single and two channel types an if approach is to high [ better than to low ] a few gentle S turns looses hight and gets one on the strip.

Duff servo? Try another. Out of interest what is push rod made of and type of radio used.

Could it be a Dyno 2cc? Original, some reproductions were made.

Must have been running with little pitch in first video so as not to remove bench from the building.😁 Impressive.👏
-
Nice and lovely to see running but you can see there is very little pitch [if any] on the prop so it is not doing any work.

Going to be a bit like the same question about car's. Ask a dozen people and get a dozen different answers I recon. Veteran, Edwardian, Vintage are pretty well defined but when it comes to classic ??????

Full-size flying boats never seem to scale well to model size, they always appear to have handling problems in the water unless a non-scale step position is used. I don't know why this is, someone with better hydrodynamics knowledge than me could probably tell you!
The S6 looks great, would love to see some video of that.
Many flying boats had issues with handling on the water, after all what you have is a boat with a horizontal sail on top which wind can effect. Multi engine types had an advantage of being able to vairy throttle settings to go where they wanted.
It was often the case with full size prototypes that despite the designer's best efforts testing would show the need to change the position/shape of the step.
Another issue for models is that water molecules [ and air] are still full size.

This thread was about glow fuel price, nothing to do about petrol.

I run several old OS MAX engines, couple of 15's a 20 a 40 and an LA 40. All are happy on the fuel Jon suggests above. In fact all my other makes including 4 strokes run on it with one exception my Cox TD051 it likes the hot stuff.

That's a fine pilot, looks ready for action.

Another way of keeping a low use car, boat, tractor battery topped up is a solar trickle charger.
Can be clipped direct to batt or fed in via power socket.
Fun fly typical design

One thing not yet mentioned is large control surfaces with big movement.
