  1. Not very often we see a scale jet built from a plan so always a joy to film such a model when I do get a chance. This Sea Vixen was built by Dave Batchelor from a Kerry Sterner design. Built over 2 years and flown expertly here by Dave Wilshere of Motors & Rotors.
  2. Jon Porter of Microaces demonstrating a new Death's Head scheme on the Albatros D.V/D.Va for the first time at the BMFA Centenary Indoor Fly In at High Wycombe Leisure Centre. More videos from the event coming soon on my YouTube channel.
  3. Onboard my turbine sport jet with the Insta360 ONE X2 action camera at BMFA Buckminster with the first Jet Modellers Association (JMA) event of the year
  4. Huge side profile on this aircraft means it barely needs any rudder input in knife edge. Powered by a Hacker Q30 on 10S. Not something I had seen before.
  5. Features: • Stunning looks and a brand new high-viz color scheme • Includes vacuum formed nose cone for slope soaring • V2 is reinforced with even more carbon fiber and glass fiber • Extreme speed, awesome maneuverability • Unique forward-swept wing design • Very powerful pre-installed drive train with improved folding propeller • Ready to fly in minutes Specs: Wingspan: 1600mm (63.5") Length: 1010mm (40.1") Flying weight: 1320g (46.6oz) Material: Highly compressed EPO foam Controls: 4 Channel (Ailerons, Elevator, Rudder (V-Tail), Throttle) Motor: 3542-800kv brushless outrunner ESC: Aerostar 60A brushless ESC Propeller: Aerostar carbon-infused nylon folding 13x8 with aluminum spinner Servos: 4 x 9g high torque metal geared Note: Can't be shipped to UK at the moment but I do know HobbyKing are working on the problem.
  6. After a line of sight flight to test my newly assembled RV8 it was time to fly it FPV for the first time.
  7. Not a concept I could have dreamt up...but when it flies it soars and glides beautifully.
  8. Our friend George (4-max.co.uk) flies his restored Chris Golds de Havilland Express for the first time. Some tinkering to do but a successful first flight.
  9. Some of the giants I have filmed in recent years. Which is your favourite ?
  10. Created by master RC designer and builder Dietmar Metz. This is the finished Star Wars Tri-Jet being demonstrated at a trade show in Germany. Quite amazing degree of control for an electric ducted fan jet.
  11. Santa and his Reindeer. So clever. Notice how Santa waves and the Reindeer nod with Rudolph having a bright red nose ! Merry Christmas all...
  12. RC jet of 2021. This thing is a beast. You would need around £25K GBP to own one. Specification: Length: 149.6" (3800mm) with the probe Wingspan: 96.7" (2457mm) Power: 2 x 16-20kg thrust Dry Weight: 26-29 kg
  13. This seriously large P-47 was flown at the Wings and Wheels RC Model Spectacular by John Mason of TJD Models. It has wingspan of 122 inches, the weight is around 70 lbs and the model is powered by a DLE-170. Other engine options for this giant are the DA-200, DLE-222, MOKI 250 and 300. Plan available at http://www.meister-scale.com/Thunderbolt25/index.html
  14. I've flown a few 'ornithopters' and this is by far the best flying I have tried out. Super simple to assemble as well. Hours of fun for the pilot and local wild life.
  15. Robbie Skipton displaying his 55% Ultimate and during the display he pushes out of an inverted pass and touches the rudder on the deck !
  16. These guys have been practicing their formation flying for a long time. That's how they got so good at this. They are flying Bill Hempel Clipped Wing Cubs. These radio controlled aircraft have a wing span of 18 feet (216 inches) and are designed for the 3W-275cc engine but Azza and Sonny used the ZDZ 420B4-J. The weight is approximately 94-96 pounds.
  17. Design inspired by a 1:72 scale Airfix kit and powered by 2 45N turbine engines. An amazing scratch built F-4 Phantom.
  18. Superb scratch built A-10 flown at recent Large Model Association Elvington Show.
  19. Star Wars X-Wing? About as close as you can get I think! This is my latest flight with the Swan\H-Wing Pro after some viewers had asked for closer up look at the transmitter and it's functionality. Really very easy to fly. The only improvement I would make is being able to fly with FPV goggles. Would not be difficult to retrofit DJI FPV. Maybe something I'll do over Winter.
  20. Walking around the Southampton International Boat Show after filming some large RC powerboats in action and I stumbled across the trade stand for Swellpro. A manufacturer of multirotor aircraft/drone for the marine industry. Didn't know waterproof drones existed! They can take off and land on water and survive full immersion. Makes them suitable for many more applications that your typical drone. Dan of Swellpro UK gave me a quick intro.
  21. Each built from scratch and flown in close formation without any fear. These are skilled builders and pilots putting on a great show for the public at LMA Elvington.
  22. Robbie Skipton doesn't just fly these monster radio controlled aircraft, he also designs and builds them from scratch.
