  1. Will be there flying with Stuart Warne (HobbyKing) and demonstrating some of their latest releases...
  2. Scratch built Beechcraft Model 18 powered by twin Saito 90 3 cylinder radial engines by Bernd at Airliner Meeting 2024. Doesn't get any better than this. Very well flown.
  3. Converted from 4 x micro turbines to 4 x electric ducted fans but does it fly better ?
  4. Tyler Perry's 1st flight of Ramy RC's Giant 149KG XXL C-17 Globemaster at Airliner Meeting 2024. Tyler flies in less than ideal conditions on the first day (i.e. Friday) of the Airliner Meeting Show. There was a 15mph cross wind but that didn't stop him from getting this big quad EDF powered jet into the air. This unique EDF jet was constructed by Ramy RC in Atlanta, United States and shipped to Oppingen, Germany just for this event. It weights 149KG and is powered by 4 200mm EDFs running on 14S. The maximum pack capacity used per EDF is 17000mah. Wingspan is 6.4 meters (21 ft), length is 6.35 meters (20.9 ft).
  5. After a first trimming flight and realising I needed to adjust the rudder I gave the new Avios Super Tucano a proper aerobatic flight. Let the flight do the talking.
  6. Another Andrew White master piece in action...
  7. A highlight from the BMFA Indoor Scale Nationals...
  8. Next episode in my journey to master RC paragliding. This time in much better conditions !
  9. Quick build 30mm EDF Red Arrows Hawk. Once trimmed out it flew quite well in the wind...
  10. Something a bit different. Going to take me a while to master this one.
  11. Most significant challenge with IC warbird conversions I have found is adding a tray for big lipos and making them easily accessible without needing to take the wing(s) off... and ruining the scheme with the modifications. I didn't see what Stuart had done to his P-51 for lipo access. Was hoping might see him and the P-51 at Old Warden next week but he's at Joe Nall at the moment so suspect that's unlikely.
  12. I'm looking forward to trying one of these soon.
  13. Building this is one thing...but having the skill to fly it indoors is something else. Great skill demonstrated by master aero-modeller Andrew White.
  14. Demo of the new Tundra v3 and a 12S 105mm EDF Hawk that could go into production soon...
  15. So much more fun if there are 2 of you trying to fly formation. Challenging but that's why we like it.
  16. Canopy plastic wasn't clear enough to put an FPV camera inside so I mounted it up on the tail. Nice view seeing the aeroplane in the foreground with the scenery below...
  17. First flight. Needs some work but good to get it in the air.
  18. So far the best FPV conversion I have done. The huge flaps make FPV landing very easy.
  19. First attempt at Spitfire chase/formation. Challenging and a few tweaks needed before next time out. Was a horrible day with 20mph wind down the strip which made everything difficult including ground handling. Perseverance will pay off for Summer I think.
  20. I'll do something to the canopy frame or lower the camera. Not sure which...but it was getting annoying as lead jet was hidden by it quite frequently. I'm not seeing much difference between DJI O3 and Caddx Walksnail Avata FPV at the moment. The telemetry display in the latter looks better and that's what I've got in my A-10. Video of that soon.
  21. Our second flight trying to fly a bit of formation. I'll be converting the other Red Arrows to head tracked FPV very soon. Will make it easier for the lead pilot.
  22. Having the telemetry report it real time certainly makes you think how you use that "fuel" 😆
  23. Ultimate head tracked FPV. Looking forward to some formation flights with Red 2 in near future.
  24. More telemetry for last solo flight. Hoping to get 2 in the air in close formation next time out.
