Ride On Models? Do People SIT on Big Models ?
Malcolm Till replied to Flanker .'s topic in All Things Model Flying
I havee discovered a site called Metacafe.com which has a video (hoax) of a man flying underneath his friends RC aircraft. if you go to metacafe.com type rc in the search field this will take you to a huge No of aircraft and other related rc stuff. if you then page down 5 or 6 pages you will see one titled man tied to aircraft. its a spoof but quite funny. i bet you won't be able to resist looking at some of the other vids too. kind regards malcolm -

ROBBE DELMO
Malcolm Till replied to Malcolm Till's topic in Building from Traditional Kits and Plans
Good day Malc, the balance point on the drawing is 382mm back from the very front of the engine mounting block. ie the forwardmost part of the airframe. the instructions suggest that the model balances slightly nose down when supported at this point, reccomending that with a .19 engine little effort should be required to acheive this, however if using a larger engine, some lead may be added to the rear of the fuselage. if this does'nt make sense please let me know. also the instructions say any engine between 3.2cc-10cc are suitable. should be very interesting. are you going to use the mechanical mixer or use the mixer function of your tranny ? please let me know of your progress as mine wont be flown for some time yet. kind regards Malc -

On to the reason for this post..... i have just inherited a ROBBE DELMO A huge delta. wow it certainly has a prescence about it. Any one remember/got/had one of these ? how was it to fly ? I don't want to put it in the sky until i have checked it over thoroughly, Besides i am building tony nijhuis's vampire. (fantastic plan tony)gosh its good to get your hands on a peice of balsa. any way up, back to the sandpaper. kind regards malcolm
