  1. Hi all, After more than 2.5 years, it's done and the maiden is expected to occur in the next couple of weeks. I'll keep you posted and/or check the Vector thread. Regards, Paulo
  2. Hi all! It's finished. A folding prop is on it's way and the maiden is expected to take place by Sept., 21st, weather permitting of course! Just a photo here and more in the album. I'll keep you posted. Regards,
  3. You're absolutely right! I'll have a go at it as soon as I run out of cheese !!! Won't take long... I've got an 8x6 prop installed, thus I'll keep the power on the conservative side. Paulo
  4. Nice Vulcan Clive! As for my Cutlass, it's been repaired but somehow i'm positively afraid to get it flying again! The same goes for my Can-Doo. Add to that other projects (including foamies!) I found myself already having too many models... Furthermore, we've been blessed with good weather from January until... now. Thus, on weekends I go flying and building activities grind to a halt. Check Clube de Aeromodelismo de Lisboa website and FB page for more info. Regards, Paulo
  5. Hello all! I'm sharing my build of the Lilienthal 40 kit from Aeronaut. Excellent kit and it flies superbly. More pics available in my album Lillienthal 40 RC. Video of the maiden flight here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDE45fEZqB4   Edited By Paulo Peres on 19/02/2019 11:27:48
  6. Hello all, Just my 5 cents: my Mini-Blitz (aka as the Atomic Triangle where I fly) weighs about 280 grams AUW with a 3S 1000mAh batteryv(GENS). A 2S battery also provides enough power but it flies better with the little bit more weight of a 3S. Motor is an EMAX R2306 2750Kv, which nominally provides 1762g of thrust (manufacturer's data) driving a 5x5 propeller, hence, it's overpowered. Minimal throws (+/- 3mm) 70%D/R, 30% expo and 6 min on the timer leaves me with 22%-20% without being too conservative in flight. Plenty of fun but I still find myself at times being flown by the model... Quite an handful! Paulo
  7. At last, ready for maiden! But a proper battery to fit in the nose area still as to be procured   Edited By Paulo Peres on 21/11/2018 19:37:44
  8. Dan, When I flew mine a couple of times without that setup, I was pleasantly surprised to see that a delta wing can, after all, fly slowly. Nonetheless, it's a small and light model - these features compound on the issue at hand: low mass means low inertia and it gains speed fast becoming a dot in the sky in no time, it also means that it loses speed fast and then you hit the throttle and it rolls. I found myself always a bit behind the model - it's no good in aviation and it certainly is no good in aeromodelling Paulo
  9. Hi Dan and JVR, Great job with an I/C Mini Blitz. Surely it can fly less hectic than a brushless powered one! I've set mine with 1mm reflex as well, but I still have to fly it with that setup + 70%D/R and 40% expo. Just to check if I can tame it.... and have a proper landing without breaking anything on the model. I still feel very aprehensive with it :-! I'll keep you posted. Regards, Paulo
