Hello everyone I just wanted to update you all on my progress. I revived my birthday present an elf and imediatly got to work on the build.
One think missing from all instructions is you need to make up and extension lead from the battery to the reciever.
So the first flight and my first time flying an rc plane. I took the model to my uncle to check it over and he said it was fine so off to a field we went. I was very nervous but excited. I asked my uncle to take the transmitter and I launch the glider gently throwing it forward, the reason for this is he is very experienced and would be able to rectify any faults on the first flight eg trim etc. a tiny bit of elevator trimming and it was very slight and it was flying perfectly. My uncles reaction was shock and with a big grin said what a lovely model. He handed me the transmitter and gently hand threw the glider. I flew it one circuit and landed I was blown away at this point with a massive smile on my face. I decided to do a half rotation launch but gat the Tx back to my uncle and I launched it. Again flew perfectly. So once agin we swapped and I had a go. Perfect flight with my uncle saying Christ you fly it better than me😀
So I then decided I would self launch and again no problems. Did this a few times then decided to do a loop. Again perfect the look on my uncles face was a picture. Turned the plane towards me and caught it for the next launch.
I think this glider is perfect for beginners very forgiving can be flown at very low speeds without stalling.
For me to be doing loops on my first half hour flying I was chuffed. I never thought I would of be able to fly it at all and expected it to be in a thousand bits. Great result.
