  1. My deepest condolences Iris. I Just found out the sad news RIP Chris... We got to know eachother via the forum and met at a few shows. He even became a client and trusted me to keep his car in good shape. He was allways the first to react at my posts on the forum...God i will miss him. FLY HIGH CHRIS
  2. Hi all ! Slow but certain progress... The soft edges are done with 3M masking foam strips. Then try not to spray under them. X
  3. Hello all ! First color is on the fuselage !
  4. Hi all ! I did another test today. I tried the pré shading methode on a test piece , relax , it's not the good fuse ! I sprayed the panellines with a coat of black , followed by a thin coat of the underside Grey. Not easy because the Grey covers the black paint very quick ! Funny, everything i had learned to avoid in the automotive industry , i have to create in modelling! Matt surface , dark spots , oil stains, etc. Still have to learn a lot regarding wheathering ! X
  5. Hello all ! Next two colors are sprayed on the insides . The overspray will be sanded smooth before the big job . I'm going to try pré-shading the panel lines to get the much disired wheatering look and markings will be sprayed over paint masks Meet my wall of shame...
  6. Hello ! Take a look at schübeler and jet fan. Both quality fans ! Great service also. Greetz , Dirk
  7. Hi Alan , it's the back part of the fuse , where the tail cone comes to sit
  8. Hello all ! First paint is on ! It's only on the insides whom become visible when removed like the canope-frame and the hatches. I don't like it when primer becomes visible I have chosen the Salvadorian livery for the simple reason that i like it most and i wanted real camo ! Problem is : there is very little info on this air force. The first image is a drawing , i know, but i like it , so... For the ones interested , i'm using good quality matt wall paint from LEVIS sprayed on. It's very strong when dry and easy to clean. Relatively cheap at 6€ for 1/4 Liter and any color is available in a hartbeat ! More to come soon !
  9. Sorry for the dubble post (me and computers...) First acceseries are on !
  10. Thanks Alan , the pleasure is all mine ! I'done with sanding for a while now !! Started to cut out the window openings with a diamant disc and sanding rolls on the dremel tool , there's not much left to paint anymore ! Visiting PROWING in Germany gave me courage again !!

  12. thanks Phil ! Soon i'll be 60 , and by the time this bird is finished , i will have spent 10 % of my free evenings on it ! Makes me think if it's all worth it... Anyways , this evening i sanded the whole fuselage so there's just the wings to go ! All the other parts are done. I hope to be ready for paint by next weekend but i'm golng to take the weekend off and visit PROWING in Soest , Germany to buy a second set of flight battery's and enjoy the show. It's allways worth it ! I'll be at one of the next PSS weekends too , really looking forward to that !!
  13. Hello ! I'm in the middle of the sanding process and i must say , this is the part that i hate the most... For the first time in this build i need some motivation to go on . There is no ending in sight while others watch a movie or go out with friends and have fun...I'm sanding primer for days to come...
  14. Hello all ! Primer is painted ! Just a few weeks sanding before she gets her camo jacket fitted !
  15. One thing i learned over the years is that you can never have enough SPACE AND TIME ! I worked all my life to have my own shop , wich i build myself . It's 100 sq M , two stories high , very happy with it !
  16. Hi guy's Long time no see ! Just wanted to let you know that the fouga is completely ready for primer ! I made myself a spray-booth and looking forward to use it for the first time ! See you soon !
  17. Looks like a big canope !! You're going to need a very big frame-box and a big heater !
  18. I use automotive products as i have a lot of leftovers I did use spray cans for little parts and it worked fine !
  19. Yes , Danny always primer and paint ! It will stand the heat of the plastic , no worries!
  20. @ Danny fenton In this case , i simply made a new part in the mould of the canope frame twice as thick. Usually i make a plug out of pink foam , covered with 500gr glass to get a smooth finish.
  21. Plugs for the Windows painted and polissen, ready for vacuming !
  22. Different coolers , antenna , air intakes periscope X X
