don't commercial ones have enough mixing features already?
Very often not.

Emence flexibillity. If you can think it up It will be able to do it.

It goes to show that no amount of clever tech will cure anything that is fundementally wrong

Some while ago I went back to a RE power model after years of flying aileron stuff and found the 100% Rudder to aileron mix quite useful so as to operate the rudder with both sticks. It just helped having built the muscle memory to steer on the left stick for the take off run. Not sure I would advocate for it in any others circumstances.

It could be the Taranis Neck Strap & Bracket listed here.
Bought that exact one expecting it to be straight.

The hard case will not close with the cranked one in place. The problem being caused or perhaps at least compounded by having a DJT module in the back of the tx. The soft case wll zip up but resembles a small marquee!

In fairness that is properly expert and who amongst us is making that claim, not me for sure, even with 47 years of experience.

Malcom Gladwell recons it takes 10,000 hours to get really good at something.
(10,000x60)/8=?
Anyway you get the picture.

Another alternative might be the new character scale stuff from Stan at Phoenix Model Products. https://www.phoenixmp.com/acatalog/Character-Scale.html
There is a 109 and a P51 and he has a Spit just finished which should be available soon. Designed as electric around a 2200 3S, very stand off and squint scale but they catch the character nicely.

In slope soaring there is the maxim:
There is no such thing as too much wind just the wrong model.
I would caveat that slightly as it does get difficult to stand up at about 60 mph.

Roll and yank, you will flying F3f if you keep that up! Now that isn’t flown 3 mistakes high.

I think that was Wookman’s point - Simon was was referring to pre-computer radios which had no model memories therefore all you had to do was make sure you zeroed the trimmed positions after test flying or remembered the trim positions for each model!
Early proportional radios didn’t even have servo reversing, let alone adjustable travels. As Simon said, you learnt to plan a radio installation to give you your desired travels (and directions) during a build. One enhancement was the availability of reverse direction servos - or you could take a soldering iron to the servo’s motor and pot connections to DIY.
Exactly.

On the up side, you couldn’t take off with the wrong model memory selected.

Should be. Should just be a matter of getting the back off and swapping the spring for the ratchet. Simple screwdriver job.

That was exactly the problem. Holding the bind button down until the receiver had bound was what I was doing. Normally not a problem, until UNI comes along. Set the receiver to bind and release the button prior to setting the tx to bind. Bind to each tx like this and the rx swapped between txs very quickly with no problem.
-
The speed and depth of the support for the UNI firmware is impressive and much appreciated.

When binding normally, how are you doing it? In particular, are you holding the bind button pressed until binding completes? If so, then the Rx will see the bind button activated after binding, and this invokes a feature that erases the bind of the "other" Tx. Normally you do this, if required, by pressing the bind button after binding completes.
To bind, I start the Rx in bind mode (power on with bind button pressed), and see the Rx has the red LED on, but blipping off every half a second (it is changing protocol when it blips). Then start the Tx binding.

Sorted! Thanks Mike.

Reflashed from sd card. Reactivated. Same problem. It won’t remind to other tx. Binding and rebinding done at about 3 meters distance.
Only thing left is to down load a new cut of the firmware maybe?
-
Doesn’t matter which tx is a or b. Bind to a. Then bind to b. Then try and bind back to a and it won’t. Doesn’t matter which tx is which a or b. It will not bind back to the other as expected in uni.
-
Just about a meter away. Similar distance to the original bind process.
-
I think the green led flashes momentarily within a second or two of powering up the rx. But it then reverts to a flashing red.
