Hello Steve, just seen your posts and video is your kj66 oil in the fuel type? i have a first generation seperate oil and fuel one ,i would like to convert it. it lost the rear bearing when the oil pipe burst i have been reluctant to repair it in the same config.i really liked your jet design any progress with it . thanks John.

  4. I Got my copy on sat ,the evans volksplane looks very easy to build ,but there seems to be part missing i e no discription of the wing build or is it just me .john
  5. Hi Chris,an article in rcme recently said boil in a pan of water ,dont know if it works though.you could try it ,dont forget to oil it after before you run John.
  6. when it is windy we try to go slope soaring,but if is too windy just use your common sense or you will just break whatever you fly,last summer a good power flyer almost hit me with a large glider and wreaked a pss glider that his plane hit.we laughed about it on the way down the hill,when he said i could have been going home in the n e air ambulance.john p.s this is not a slight on you PHI.lol.
  7. hello trevor, i have made my leading edges from pine strip from B and Q.there are lots of sizes in 2.4 meter lengths enough for 4 blades and cheap ,not aproblem if you spoil a few or want to experiment with the shape or prod method. John
  8. hi olly ,captain cooks monument at great ayton is a good site and easy to find not quite on the way to whitby but not far off.carlton bank ( carlton )near stokesley is the best site for north wind soaring .or you could slope on the sand dunes at marske or on the cliffs at skinningrove N>Easterly.john
  9. my mag gets earler every month ,but i dont mind that while the rain keeps falling.i liked c.carrs hawks but i would like more information about them a set of profiles or a large plan feature would be great ( G.A).it might not be to everyones taste but i do love edf planes.john

  11. Hi any one out there remember a series of build articles about the m r spit in rcme ,just started building one for electric ,what year were the articles in the mag please. thanks john .ps the editor cannot recall them so it must be awhile ago.
  12. has any body had a s9650 fail i have heard of them failing but dont know anyone who has one ,i have one that has failed after an easy life on the tail of my t rex.i am only at the point of hovering .they are quite expensive to replace ......thanks john.
