  1. Cheers Peter, I know what you mean but I really dislike 'iron on' film. I'll be practicing on lesser models before I wield a spraygun. I know the real scheme is/was gloss but I think that semi-gloss (satin) looks more reallistic on models and may be more forgiving. Here's hoping.
  2. Cheers Mark and thank you. Yes, I have decided on the Argentine scheme, the Cruz del Sur aerobatic display team. Just hoping that my finishing skills are up to doing a good job! The canopy arrived a couple of days ago ( great quality ) and so now everything is in place for the November start.
  3. Cheers Phil, I'll wait until November to start, I need to finish a petrol aeroplane 'in build' at the moment anyway otherwise my man-cave would start/continue to look confused and crowded! I like the Golden Hawks scheme too, Peter, and I'm guessing it will be seen on the Orme anyway.
  4. I'm in too and I have the short kit and the rest of the wood. Argentine Cruz del Sur aerobatic team version. Build log started but aren't we waiting until November to start?
  5. Short kit arrived last week, looks great thank you Gordon and Martin. The rest of the wood came yesterday and I can't wait to start. Decision made, I'm going to stretch my finishing and painting skills to build the Argentine Cruz sel Sur aerobatic team version. All advice gratefully received and are we waiting until November to start?
  6. Couldn't resist joining in on this one, itching to start and so can't wait to pick up my kit on The Orme in a couple of weeks. As for colour schemes.....my two favourites so far...... Decisions-decisions!
  7. Cheers Tim, I'll do that. I need to replenish my stocks of slope soarers as I only have one at present (Wildthing) and would like to turn up with a decent PSS.
  8. Thank you, Now I feel ashamed that a mere 90 minutes was considered a long journey! I moved to Wirral, very flat - I may as well have joined the Dutch mountaineering club, and am keen to revive my slope soaring. Thanks again, Cliff
  9. Hi all, I live too far away (90mins) to waste a journey, can anyone tell me if any club membership or the like is required to slope soar at Great Orme? Cheers all, Cliff
