  1. I was meant to be coming with David but due to "Technical Issues" I am not going to make it I am afraid. Have fun and send some images
  2. Very good write up Peter. I **Think** Phil and I are going to be redoing the website over the winter months so will sort out the SSL certificate as you are correct that Chrome are going to start blocking these sites with none very soon. See you on the slopes soon
  3. Thanks for the info Phil, I booked in at Bryn
  4. Pre booked in at Bryn, looking forward to getting some flying time and hopefully learn a few new things (like landing) lol
  5. Peter May I ask where you booked please. I’m looking for somewhere. I’ll gave to come down after my hospital appointment so looking to get there around 8 pm
  6. Andy, I might be up for the weekend 11/12th weather and health depending. David Gilder?
  7. I may only be down for the day this time, sorry... best be wind this time lol
  8. I had a lovely weekend flying, the beginner in me showed as I landed my middle phase and managed to crack the tail fin. I enjoyed flying it and it handled very well. Tried to get the Albatross flying but something went wrong and Andy Meade done a good job in landing it as safely as he could and only had minor damage. that was soon fixed but I did not want to fly it again until it is balanced correctly. I managed to get the P51 out and that also flies very well, unfortunately on landing that also suffered damage that will need fixing. I am already looking at my next model for the calm days, a hobbyking 2000 just so I can get some flying time in, and I fancy a mirage 2000(b) for a PSS model. Soon I will have more models than some of the guys who have been flying for years lol. I have just had a read of Peter "Waffle Man" Garsden blog post and it is a very good read. Sorry I missed the A10 in action but I am sure I will see it soon. Thanks to everyone who helped me this weekend, Especially Harry, Steve, Tim, Andy and Dave for helping me with landings and launches and being there if I needed to ask a question. See you all soon Warren

  11. So..... Having spent the afternoon on the simulator and practising my landing and take off etc (not as realistic I know but gives me a taste) I went and got myself my first build. I have gone for a Chris Foss Designs Middle Phase 2 RC Glider. I feel this is a suitable plane and will enjoy building it as my first project. I will keep everyone updated as I go along in a new post with images etc... Warren
  12. Hey Everyone Thanks for the great input, I think I will take on the Cliffwhacker challenge. I will purchase it tomorrow and will post my progress. Quite excited now Warren
  13. Hey Everyone I hope you find you all in good spirit. I am new to PSSA and was introduced by David Gilder. I have never flown a plane before and and looking forward to getting my maiden flight out the way, I have bought a P51 mustang (still waiting to get it as not been well and need to arrange collection). I am also looking to build something for the slopes, something nice and easy for a newbie like myself. There are so many to choose from I just don't know what to choose. Can someone point to me to a nice plan and wood build I can crack on with please. I am coming to the next meeting in August so hope to meet some of you guys there. Thanks Warren
