  1. Posted by Don Fry on 26/04/2019 14:40:48: You build it, or a young lady in the Far East? Not really sure what you are asking.
  2. I mainly fly 3D planes + Helis, but have had a few warbirds in the past, electric, nitro and gassers. I would like a 60" - 75" balsa warbird, no foamies (I like them and have a few, but would like a balsa one). Ideally I would like a Spitfire, hurricane ,typhoon or bf109. Something that can have retracts. I really like the H9 P51 20cc, looks like a great plane, but I'm a bit bored of P51's, had a few now. Can anyone suggest a make and model which ticks these boxes? Spitfire, hurricane ,typhoon or bf109 60" - 75" Electric Balsa Retracts. Needs to be able to handle a grass strip. Thanks in advanced.
  3. Is there a UK based company or even EU, which does plane graphics? Some one along the lines of B and E in the states? Thanks   Edited By John Smith 50 on 21/12/2018 09:50:29

It's a nice looking plane, but I really want the biggest I can get in Electric, 87 doesn't seem that much bigger than my 74"'s , I think the 95" is the biggest that's really practical as an electric. I'd really like one of these **LINK** but not sure what electric setup I would need, I'm guessing it would probably need 4 x 6s 500mah packs which isn't ideal. I will keep the thread updated.

I guess you pay your money and takes your chance, but in view of the cost outlay that is not really acceptable. Let me know how you get on. hmmmm I have dealt with them before... Hence why I have asked this question.
  7. I have a couple of Xpwr 30cc, plenty of power nice little motors to be fair.
  8. I am looking at purchasing another model, this time it will be the 3DHS 95" Extra 330SC -E along with XPWR60cc motor. As this will be a fairly expensive purchase (my most expensive plane so far), I thought I would see who others are using for their 3DHS planes, my last ones came from gashanger. Ideally I would like to purchase from a retailer who has : 1. Good response time to communications, both email and phone. 2. Good / fair problem resolution in the event that something is / does go wrong. I don't mind paying a little extra if I need to order from abroad. I'm aiming to purchase around Christmas time and this will be my winter build project. Any recommendations welcome. Thanks in advance.
  9. UPDATE: I eventually got a refund, but no communication, approximately 1 month from the purchase date!

I went last year for the first time for ages, and I think I only saw 2 helis fly, I do get that its called wings and wheels. Just curious. It was a good show, the jets were pretty awesome and the tri plane. Do they change it up every year or is it mostly the same? They are trying to increase the diversity of the slots and increase the number of 'club' that most of us can afford. Clearly the really big/spendy stuff is there and its there to put on a show, but equally the idea is to show off models that can be flown at club sites by normal club guys. All of my models (75 inch sport model, 80 inch warbird and 80 inch scale biplane) fall into this category even if they are nearing the top end for normal club models. This year there are separate scale and aerobatic helicopter slots so I think you should be covered. Clearly all flying comes down to weather and serviceability of the models but in theory both slots should run Awesome thanks

  13. Posted by Ian Denny on 19/06/2018 07:29:01: A follow up to my earlier posting. I spoke to Steve at Weston Park regarding my outstanding order and was told that his latest shipment was being held in Customs for clearance. Once again, I was offered a full refund, but have decided to wait as I want to see how a falcon carbon prop performs on my OS GT33. When I asked him why there was no phone number on his website, he told me that the website had been redesigned and was unaware of the fact. I was given one of his business cards with the number on, and he said he would be in touch with his web designer to correct the problem. I left feeling happier and eagerly await my order. I'm still awaitng my refund
