Strange thing. I have used the elevon type in the wing set up. The elevons work, however they do not work in the correct stick movement. Up and down gives left and right, whilst aileron stick gives up down. I have tried swopping servoe leads around, too no avil and I can not reassign the main control surface channels. It works fine on one of my other models but not this one. The other is a six channel rx this is a 4, but there should be no difference. Suggestions anyone

Anybody know if a 4 channel rx can be used to control elevons. (Spektrum gear). Im assuming a channel reassignment is the answer??

I think it should be don't charge them over night. Storage 3.8v. I keep mine in the small ammo boxes which I tend to line with plasterboard. Rather than drill holes in them I tend to leave the Box lid closed but unfastened. I must confess I have never used any kind of warming they just live in my garage. However the boxes do not sit on the concrete floor but on cork tiles.

I'm not able to join in but I hope all goes well and that very few black bags get used. It will be fantastic even if there are no records broken. Good luck to all.

Pic / video of them taking off timed and dated. Maybe landing too. I counted them all out and I counted them back in as the saying goes. Just a suggestion. I appreciate Mr Gray has it covered.

By good if there were time dated pics taken. That would help verification

I really should use my head rather than my bias. But hey how! ?

Black doggy poo bags. Put into small bottles and cut off excess. Fill with glue. When you squeeze the bottle the glue will still come out and I'd you retain the tension and cap the bottle you get less air in to maintain life of adhesive.

Like all things cost will eventually reduce. 100% Clean energy is a long way off, in fact it's not obtainable as there is always some dirty element attached. As for tax it is quite natural for that to take place as the revenue loss from carbon fuels has to be replaced. Maybe tax by weight as the particles from brakes and road wear is greater from e.v's supposedly. There are much vaunted untruths on both sides of the environmental argument and I despair when I see entrenched attitudes. As ever practical realities and time will win the day.

Just use the word Probably in place of must.

Fed Ex are expensive as well €229 delivery from the Netherlands for a kit. Not paying that.

This comes about after reading the funnies and the joke about oil. The memorable ad for me was the Castrol GTX ad, the oil just running down the face of the can between the G and the X and between the faces of an openend spanner with the superb accompaning voice element "Liquid Engineering" Brilliant

Interesting launch catapult lol

Welcome aboard.
If you want to get ready of shiny and have the finish look a little weather beaten there is a product called elbow grease. I used it to clean the oil etc of my ic planes. Now used diluted, as it also removes some of the surface colouring. Might be worth a go and what you don't use gets used for its original purpose. So no money wasted.

Have you viewed the rc motion videos?
They are quite helpful

I am sure that other users of battery powered models may have a way of distinguishing between those that are charged and useable, and those discharged after use. I sue the belowI also use the same method to show which lipo's I have on storage. All of my batteries have a strip of velcro (hook and loop) attached to them to aid in the positioning whilst in the model.I use a small strip, suitably coloured, to place on the battery to identify its state, i.e. red = discharged, yellow = storage. No strip means the lipo is charged and ready for use. You could add green for this purpose if so desired. You can paint the back of the strip or use coloured electrical tape or even coloured paper sticking it directly to the rear of the self adhesive of the velcro (hook and loop).I keep them on a strip in the lid of my ammo boxes, which i use for storage and transporting.

I have used Depron and also makerboard, the latter comes in various thicknesses . I have used the Hobbycraft board and its true to say that the paper covering is a real swine to remove, so now i don't bother. Hot glue, although does add weight, is fine to use along with pva and uhu.

I have saito FA62 and the slider is seized in the barrel. (Its in a puppeteer which I bought 2nd hand and as been in my loft for three years. I havent flown it yet) I have soaked it in WD40 to no effect. It is currently soaking in vinegar..
I was considering dropping in a pan of boiling water but am concerned about the rubber gaskets. Anyone have a useful tip i can try?
