I have a 25 year old XK8 and to me its a classic but to many its just an old Jag ,but then I'm an old Jag driver and I'm definitely in the Vintage bracket
I also have one, a LHD convertible, costs me an arm and a leg to keep it on the road, but gives me a priceless smile when I am out in it.

Oh dear, so will you take 100€ for your Saito ?.🤢

Thanks, Martin, It looked exactly how mine flies in blustery conditions, I see that you know how to fly 😇, maybe just a tweak of too
much elevator on landing with an unfriendly gust of wind, not forgetting that without the engine off on landing they do seem to be more 'twitchy' on the elevator.
Even your 22-second video on the site keeps stopping, but the youtube one was perfect, thanks.

Good morning Martin, have you a lien for your videos for Youtube, my snails internet connection won't charge them, while the first one
was charging, I cleaned the wood fire built it up and lit it, made myself a coffee and drank it, and all I charged was the first 10 seconds,
it's like a lot of the 'heavy' photos ( I won't name and shame them 🤢) I just can't load them.😡

It weighs in at 4k250, I did some great flying this afternoon with it.

Hi GG, I have put my VQ 161cm Hurricane with it's .90 OS 4-stroke engine in it in the car for an afternoon of flying,
do you want any information on it before or after I fly it ?.
-
Haven't you anyone in your club that can make them for you ?, or better still do them together, it isn't that hard.

I started to renovate my Hurricane, I started by using it to try and cover the holes in the rubbish film, it went well, I only used an ordinary household iron, and polyurethane 2 pack paint.

i had that very same macgregor system in my one and only attempt at rc flying.
never saw the model again .
So did I, pure rubbish and trying it on my own, 🤢 every flight was over in less than 20 metres ( yards in those days) with one exception when it wouldn't work and landed around a mile away.

Nitro is also illegal to buy neat in france, as it is classed as an explosive, off the shelf you can buy up to 16% nitro, over that you need a model competition licence with an authorisation from the French model federation.
Unless you use petrol with ethanol in it,,,😂

Are you sure Paul, I used to use 98 octane when ethanol came to the 95 octane, but a few years ago, the 98 took on 5% ethanol and the 95 took on 10% ethanol. That was when I stopped using petrol for my stuff. Check the pump when you next buy some.
Yes you are right Don from 2% to 7.5% 😡
-
I only use 98 octane it is ethanol free, and mix my own, 3% synthetic 2 stroke oil. My Yamaha strictly states No ethanol, if you can't get it buy the 2 stroke ready mixed chain saw stuff, ok it is gold-plated but cheaper than a crashing a plane.

Am I missing out on something ?.😇
This is right down my street😂
Say no more.🙃
Any fuel will do with 0%/5% nitro, the 5% will make it easier to tune, just add at least 2% caster, for good measure, although Model technics do a lot of fuels with castor in them, just take your pick, of course 20% castor will take you back 50 years with a bit of nostalgic cleaning after your days flying.

That looks really good, I have some silk dress lining from my sister-in-law, which is thicker, and it's completely useless it just won't shrink.
Is it me?
