  1. Many thanks, people. That's really helpful - and so quick!
  2. After much hunting, I've found excellent surgical tubing at Hobby Lobby in the US - around £25 inc post for 100 feet. But I still can't find a suitable drum or reel, which needs to be about one foot diameter and hopefully has a winding handle. Can anyone suggest a source, or something which would do the job?
  3. Thanks a bunch, Shaun. I shall proceed to my EPA, and I have high hopes. Good for you. May all your landings be greasers ...
  4. Sorry, Shaun. The ailerons work perfectly as ailerons. And when I use the flap control button, they work in unison, both together. The problem is that with the control button full right they operate as full flaps, but with the button full left, they produce only a smidgeon of airbrake. So presumably I need to reverse that ...?
  5. Shaun - if you're still around, and still feeling helpful - my ailerons work fine as ailerons, thanks to you, but when I use the flaperon button on the Futaba, they move 99% down, 1% up - ie flaps, not airbrakes. Presumably something needs reversing, but how do I do that without spoiling the normal aileron setting?
  6. Thanks to all you helpful folk, particularly Shaun: the mixing did the trick, and hey! I have ailerons!
  7. I have a Multiplex Easy Glider Electric, and Futaba 6EXA. The EXA manual offers only one aileron channel, presumably for folk using a single servo to operate both ailerons, but offers no clue to those of us using two servos, as with the Easy. I've read somewhere that plugging the wing servos into channels 1 and 6 does the trick - but not for me. One aileron moves in the right sense, but the other only moves at all when I turn the flaperon knob. Same thing when I switch the plugs. If someone could explain to a simple mind a simple way to set up my ailerons with the EXA, I'd really appreciate it.
  8. Thanks, Ian. I guess the short answer has to be No...
  9. I can't find an answer in the 6EXA manual, so can anypone tell me: is it possible to mix rudder and ailerons, and if so, how?
  10. Thanks, Nigel, for a very helpful piece on the Easy Glider electric. That decided me to order one. Small point: batterywise you recommend the BRC Hobbies Intellect 8-cell 1200. It's no longer in their online catalogue: the nearest equivalent seems to be the 1400. Will that be OK sizewise, weightwise and every otherwise? Last question. You used an 8-channel micro RX. I have a Futaba R136F RX,which came with my 6EX transmitter, but it has only six channels. No good? [Quite bulky, so probably too big anyway]
