  1. I’m more or less done now, just servo covers and balancing. The model come in at 4.3 pounds without the ballast. I will take better photos for the finished model thread. can anybody explain how they balanced the model please?
  2. Nearly done, not perfect by any means but I’ve learnt a lot from doing it.
  3. Having almost finished my sabre I know how much work goes into these models. My hat goes off to you, truly amazing work. Hopefully I will get to see it. It will certainly put my model to shame. Andy
  4. Thanks Dirk. I’ve moved my canopy forward nearly 30mm. I’ve had to rework my cockpit but I’m much happier with it now. it just didn’t looks right. Andy
  5. Thanks Dirk, that’s a great help. can I ask the measurement from f3 to the beginning of the front fairing please. thanks Andy
  6. I've been busy sanding and painting, I wasn't happy with the the finish I was getting. It's now been sanded within an inch of it's life and is super smooth, however such attention to detail is showing up more imperfections but I will have to live with them. I have been looking at the canopy, and I fixed it on loosely. If you look at my model further up this blog the canopy to me looks too far back? Going back to the drawing, the canopy looks a bit different, I've looked at all the blogs and looks to me that there are some differences in position. I just cant work out the right position. Looking at some pics of the real thing it looks like the canopy should be a lot further forward than on some of the blogs. Any thought on this I really want to get it right. Andy
  7. I primed the fuz today. It’s obvious by the time I did the planking on the second side I was getting the hang of it. A bit more sanding to do I think. I would like to get some red paint from Halfords but I can’t decide on which red. Ive Googled the fire balls scheme but I can’t find a paint code. Any ideas?
  8. I’m nearly finished glassing, my first time. Have to say it’s gone really well. All done with the deluxe materials stuff. I think it probably takes 2.5m of glass. Andy
