  1. It certainly did! made a big hole in the runway.
  2. I am sure it is a Vandal. Many thanks Richard, John and Ian. Apologies for not replying sooner. I can't find much about Masterline or the Vandal online. Presume Masterline disappeared a long time ago? Everyone kept telling me it was a Maricardo so I bought the plans from Sarik Hobbies only to discover that it was a completely different plane! I converted it from elastic bands holding on the wings to a big bolt. It came second hand with an OS46 AX Max fitted for £50. This is what it looked like after a crash but it is almost repaired.
  3. Many thanks for your suggestions. It does look like a Vandal. Unfortunately it is going through extensive repairs as I had an "accident" with it. However it will fly again.
  4. Does anyone know what model this is? It has been suggested that it is a Maricardo but I have the plans for a Maricardo and there are big differences. The wings and the top of the rear fuselage are foam cored so it must be from a kit rather than being scratch built. The wings were originally held on with rubber bands but I have converted it to a wing bolt and dowel. The fuselage is 100cm (39") long and it has a wingspan of 140cm (55"). It has a plastic cowl. It flies superbly!
  5. Thanks for everyone's help. Connected it to my computer via a USB lead and used the "Charger Master" program. Things are much clearer now. I have voice instructions working and cutting off at 3.8 Volts on "Storage" setting. Just need to make up a lead for the 12 volt input so that I can use it down the field on my lead battery. Great forum for advice.
  6. Will look again on YouTube John. Found one video but it was in German. Thanks for your advice.
  7. Denis, Hardly perfect English but understandable. My point is that it doesn't go into much detail. I have blown up the Flow Chart on my computer and printed it off so that I can see it better. Watched the charge on my Samsung phone and I have set it as a LiPo battery. Using the Storage function is it supposed to stop and beep when it gets to 3.8 volts per cell or do you just have to keep an eye on it to stop it discharging too far? This isn't mentioned in the instructions.
  8. Have recently bought a D100 V2 charger. The instructions are terrible, it doesn't explain how the "Storage" function works and it is in pigeon English. Being new to the hobby it took me ages to work out how to de-charge my LiPos for storage. It started taking the charge below 3.8v per cell but didn't beep or stop automatically - is it supposed to? I am sure the charger will be an excellent buy once I find out how it works.
  9. Hi Jason. Yes that has worked. 2 flights today and working fine. Presumably the Panic button channel should be reversed and I have put it to normal when I have been switching between my 2 planes. Many thanks for your help and to everybody else who responded so quickly. I will certainly use this forum in future and hopefully I can help someone with their problems. My Apprentice is a great plane. I have built a balsa tail for mine as I found the original was very flimsy and easily damaged not to mention expensive at £23 a go. I went through 3 sets!
  10. Hi Jason. Thanks for your advice. The issue did start when I was reversing controls for my other plane. Will give it a try and get back to you with the result. Very impressed with the swift replies with my issue.
  11. Hi Dwain. Thanks for your advice but no even in beginners mode you should be able to apply some down elevator. It is the same in beginners, intermediate or expert mode.
  12. I have an Eflite apprentice which I have been learning to fly with. Marvellous plane for a beginner but I now have a strange problem with it which I can't seem to resolve. I use the supplied DXe Transmitter. The elevator goes up and down correctly when first switched on but as soon as I put the throttle up to 50 percent the elevator refuses to move down and only moves up about 2mm. Switching off the receiver power puts everything back to normal until the throttle is again put up to 50 percent. I have tried plugging the rudder servo into the elevator socket on the receiver and the same things happens. I have tried a different transmitter and the same problem is there. I do suspect it is the ESC, any idea how this can be reset? Has anyone got any idea what is happening and where the fault lies as this problem is driving me mad especially as lockdown has just been lifted up here in Scotland and I can't fly my plane?
