Is this the Sky 40?
I can not see any problem as the wings have not been sheeted.

Looking at 4-Max recommendations I would go for the
PO-3547-960 but use a 4s lipo for the extra power compared with 3s.

Ok so the problem is this I'm building a sky 40.
Now in the manual it recommends a
axi4120/14 which is 660kv
So on the 4max site the equivalent is only 595kv but the sky 40 setup on the 4max site suggests a motor of 960kv. so I'm a little confused as to what I should use.
The axi4120/14 which is 660kv and the 4Max equivalent 595kv are for 5-8s lipos.
The 960kv is for 3-4s lipos.
Obviously the prop sizes will be different.

Thanks Bob,
I bought 4-Max 4M 100 AMG 022 for the wings.
I had two HS 81MG servos lying around and used them for elevator and rudder.

My reply was to a specific scenario Stephen presented. The posts in the rest of the thread make it clear.
Travelling beyond an open space where you can carry out your activity is a breach of the rule and will leave you liable to a fine, if that space isn't suitable for your activity then you can travel to the nearest open space that does, you can also travel to an open space if you have limiting health factors, even if it is local.
Stephen said nothing about how far the hill was, so it could be a local hill, which he could have driven to.
The rest of your post is beyond me.

Yes I'm aware of the BMFA position on "lone flying".

Sorry my post was being typed the same time as yours and my comment on lone flying was not aimed at you but just a general observation.
Interesting your comments on guilt are exactly what puts me off flying.

To comply with the rules:
1/ Yes as long as you have not driven there.
2/ Yes as long as you have not driven there, the park is clear or you can do so without any risk of spreading by distancing and covering.
3/ Correct
Personally, If you can do it whilst keeping your distance from others with no risk of spreading then I can't see any problem......others will no doubt disagree.

To comply we can travel local to fly. BMFA discourage lone fliers which is no problem as we can meet up with one other person.
The earlier post gave the impression that driving was not allowed which is not the case?
-
Local travel is permitted for exercise then?

Thanks Bob,
I will take that as a joint decision and get on with it.

It's just a demonstration that you know more about electric motors than I know about IC engines.
