  3. 51 update......still a long way to go...:-)
  4. I think this old bird needs a decent tailwheel.....have a foam one at the moment but been making some expanding foam tyres.....first was a P51 now Spitfire.....more to follow.....

  10. Test flew tonight......had a 4 mins flight...used 20% of the batteries......a couple of right clicks of alerion.....a joy to fly! well happy.....:-)

  12. Hi Nick, yes you are right.....i've seen some guy's do one door but i'll be doing the same as my Sist 190's...2 parts....i'll take a look at your thread and see how you have done it...all the best Before finally cutting out the wheel wells i thought about how the retract unit was going to be removed for maintenance/installation and another hatch would be needed, so quickly made 2 sections and right and left that will cover this, both my Sist 190's have something similar. Once the unit and legs are in place i will work out the final door/hatch shapes
  13. Made the blanks for the main doors and inner doors.....opted for the sellotape route as my release agent from the wing......the one difference from the full size is the straight section of the door should be flat but mine follows the curve of the wing section.....still debating whether to make the door all in one section or like the full size in 2 parts so made some extra straight section. Also i'm thinking the doors don't sit over the wheel but like the Fw 190....sit slightly inboard like below. Any ideas would be welcome..... cheers
