  1. Good afternoon All Having discussed this with Andy Symons I can confirm the e mail regarding 'All DUES from BMFA' is a scam and should be disregarded and deleted. Steps have been taken with BMFA IT provider to ensure the integrity of the system. Hopefully this clarifies the situation and BMFA members are reassured. Like many I was surprised when the e mail dropped into my in box knowing that I have paid my fees and received confirmation! Kind regards Paul Hoey BMFA Hon Sec
  2. Hi Jan You might like to try contacting www.wingleader.co.uk who publish a series of day by day accounts of the Battle of Britain in a number of volumes. Their earlier Air Combat Archive covering Operation Dynamo, the evacuation of the British Army through Dunkirk references 111 Squadron being engaged in fighting on days 6,7 and 8 (31 May - 2 June) some individual pilots are named and their combat reports quoted, however their individual aircraft are not listed by squadron number or aircraft number i.e. JU-B, L2001. You might also try the RAF Museum at Hendon who may be able to help. Sorry not to have been of more use but I'm sure there will be other forum members with information. Best regards Paul
  3. The news of Alex's passing filtered through to BMFA Buckminster on Saturday morning during our centenary weekend and the WarBirds Fly In. We had anticipated Alex would be with us on Friday so the news was received with shock and universal sadness. Later in the morning Ian Pallister, Chair of the BMFA, gave a warm tribute and we held a minutes silence to remember Alex, his family and close friends. Alex has made an enormous contribution to model flying through his photography, journalistic skills and warmth of character. His great report in RCM&E, which arrived this morning, on the Indoor Free Flight Scale Nationals reminded me of the last time we spoke and laughed together. He will be greatly missed for so many reasons. Very sad. Paul Hoey Chair of the BMFA Centenary Planning Group
