  1. Does anyone have an unbuilt kit they'd like to sell?
  2. Can anyone point me in the direction of, or supply, plans for the Tiger Moth? I've looked through DB Models plan packs to no avail. The kit seems to be expensive, so I'd like to scratch build. I've found a dwg cad file of some other design of Tiger, but how do you print them or get them printed at the right size? Thanks
  3. Hi Andy, Yes pleae send anything you've got to [email protected] Thanks!
  4. Just acquired plan, CNC parts and carbon parts. Anyone built and flown this ? In particular where is the easiest place to find suitable foam for the lost-foam-fuse moulding?
  5. Thanks all you experts, much excellent advice here and mostly I'm reassured! Ben B that's a good point re the valves, I only checked the valves movement without taking them out. I need to test run these engines now and do some more delving if they don't perform.
  6. Many thanks for that info which all makes good sense. I shall try them out and hope for the best!
  7. I have acquired some second hand engines in good apparent condition but their compression is not what I'm used to with nearly new Irvines etc. For example an OS 50SX which is ringed has some compression, but is relatively easy to turn through t.d.c just using the prop driver. With my Irvine (just run in) I can't do this without a prop! Similarly, a good looking OS 52FS with a couple of hours running turns pretty easily over t.d.c. I've checked the valves. On compression I can hear pressure escaping through, I think, the air intake. My last query is an OS Max 46AX. This one looks mint- again pretty easy to turn through compression with no prop. Can anyone advise?
  8. I have a Buccaneer which has been completely restored and is now ready for engine and servo fitting. Wing and fuse were recovered in doped nylon and any poor bits of balsa replaced. Has a spare wing that I intend to put ailerons in! Needs a four stroke about 40 sized ideally. Originally flew on about a 19 to 29. Will be a sedate floater. Looking for £50 just to go towards the work and marterials. I have a vintage radio set for it too! Digifleet 35 MHz PCM system . Also have an even older Futaba Challenger 27 MHz set in original box!!
