  1. Oooops i thought this was a comp for a Caramel cake, should have gone to spec savers.
  2. Another prize draw another go. Just gonna take this opertunity to say Hi to all and wish you all some sunshine so you can get out there and fly. Good luck to everyone.
  3. Just got an email reminding me to enter the prise draw. Thought i had but here goes just in case. Maybe it's a sign.
  4. Hi, Al's Hobbies does the Skymaster and it's all in there.I flew my friends and it's cool. Nice size and stable, not for very windy days though. Goes in the boot ok on a fair sized car and the price is spot on. Not an aerobatic job either but it does loop and roll. Best of luck.
  5. Hi everyone, I'm not a noob to the site but thought this would be the best place to post. Does anyone know of a similar web site to this but for RC Cars? Cheers.
  6. Hi everyone, I don't write often in the forum but I am a regular reader.I would now like to enlist the help of every member. I wan't to buy a large P51 artf that will take a petrol engine. I don't want to mod it or chop it about. It needs to be designed for it, if there is one. I have seen the CMPro P51D and itis a very nice kit, they do two a 50 size and a 1.4 but I still need bigger as I don't think the latter will take a Zenoah. I think the smallest Zenoah do is a 1.5,would this fit?Does anyone know, has anyone done it and if so by which manufaturer. It has to be a P51 and it has to be that someone has done it and flown it without any troubles. So no guess work please. Pictures and or film clips would be really nice but advice is welcome. I would also prefer a wood  or compasite built model as apposed to foam and it needs to be around the £200 for the kit. Many thanks in advanced to all.
  7. ....................^--|>        ( its a smiley plane)
  8. Hello everyone again, just thought I would join the win a kit konga.
  9. God knows how many times I have entered so fingers crossed again.
  10. It,s plane to see we would all like to win this little kit, it looks to have plenty of room  for my new radio to fit. My old plane made of foam, it's canopy of lexan was not of the same quality as this beautiful Texan. I sit here sad after my old planes demise, only dreaming of winning  while drying my eyes. Left with a memory and a very muddy spinner, I can only hope and pray that you make me the winner.
  11. What's the fuss? It's just a plane hat!
  12. Just seen a video on youtube of the new GWS F-15. Fantastic! See it at the GWS web site.Very little information about and as of yet not in the UK but can be found for sale on the net.Definately on my list as soon as it gets here.
  13. Me Again. Got some carbon blades from RCMods today, fantastic. They are quicker sleeker and seem to perform better, possibly because of a higher head speed, I don't really know but it is certainly more responsive and stable in the hover. They look the nuts too, would look great with an Air wolf fuss. The wooden set I got however seem terrible. I have read in other forums people complaining of head wobble, even though everything seems ok. Well thats what I have got and I put it down to the blades not being equal or balanced. Can anyone tell me an easy way of checking this besides weighing them.
  14. Has anyone got one of these, if so what do you think of it. I am considering buying one. I am not a beginer so I really want to know if it is sturdy, flies well and worth the money. I have just started up again after a 6 year break and all ready have an E-Flight Honeybee King 2 Heli but fancy a plane that would be exciting enough for some one with experience as well as being able to train my 9 year old son on.I did see a similar one to the ST Model but can't remember where, that was electric too with plug in wings. Has anyone seen that one as well? The other thing I was wondering about was Al Hobbies are now only doing a brushless version which is dearer than the original one he had with standard motors. Why has he stoped stocking that?
  15. Oooh, just seen the new Honey Bee King 2 Carbon, very nice . Take a look at their site at http://www.twf-sz.com/english/products.asp?prodid=0237.
  16. Well, not done any flying since the accident,Why ? Because no one has the spares locally at the moment. For those of you that have heard of Phill Greeno of Greeno models and know his store in Rayners Lane London, will be aware of his talents and good service. For those who don't well I have just said it, a very talented and helpful man with a store that is well stocked with the latest stuff. He now stocks the Honey Bee King 2 and is getting stock of spares too.As soon as my order is in I will be up again, hopefully I will get a video this time so if I do crash again you can all see it but don't count on it..
  17. Plese tell me if my reports are getting on anyones nerves but I thought that my mistakes would help others not to do the same.I have just had another flight at work, fully charged, trimmed and balanced.Checked the blade pitch and the motor seems to be almost run in.Had a great flight and hover in the workshop up untill I got too confident too fast, I flew it in a wide circle to my left a bit too fast and before I knew where I was I flew streight in to a Biffa bin. Pow,it stoped dead and fell to the floor with a couple of flaps of the blades befor I cut the throttle. It all happened so fast but thankfully it's a tough sun of a bitch and only the blades were damaged.Off to Phil Greeno for spares and will be back up soon.Lesson of the day.Know where you are flying and make sure you have space, take your time and one step at a time.
  18. OK Clever clogs try this.If no one gets the answer do i get the kit? Riddle,If a plane is sitting on a conveyor belt, and the belt will always move in the opposite direction of the plane, at the same speed, if the pilot throttles forward, does the plane have the ability to take off? Now, before you answer, consider a couple of things first: A plane is not a car. A plane requires forward movement in order to generate lift. With that said, do not make any assumptions about the plane's forward movement (or lack of movement). Assume the conveyor belt can be as long as a runway. Assume the wheels are strong enough to spin at any speed without breaking. Assume there are no snakes on this plane Assume the wheels are free-spinning and are not locked/braked in any way. So, what do you think?
  19. OK.Had seconde flight this evening in the workshop at work after everyone had gone home.Had a quick check over and up it went.Took a bit of time trimming it and had to add a little pitch which helped.Nice steady hover, a few tentative circles but no probs and finally got over that first knee wobble. A couple of landings and then a circuit sweet as. After landing at loss of power I did a check over. I could smell the motor was very hot and then I noticed it.My fault entirely and because I was in a rush and didn,t take time.I should have known better than to miss such a simple thing. The tail boom supports were nicely tucked up the side with the fin in a vertical position. Thats how they pack it and I didnt even notice it.People, preperation is everything, the first rule and I forgot. Well no damage but now it doesn't fit in the box anymore unless I want to unscrew it each time so off to the camera shop to buy a big metal case for it.
  20. A riddle. There is a plane crash and every single person dies but there are survivors. How?
  21. Didn't notice any major probs but realy did rush it and not had more than a minute or two. I am going to do a full test and set up tonight so i will let you know.
