well. I decided to take a day off from trials and tribulations of technology and wet a few maggots,. Just reset up the tx/rx and as you can see in the video. all working. Now it could be put down to several things I dont know, but ill go with the fact it now works. I never updated the rx or tx. This was what I think was my problem. X8R-EU version only works with FrSky Taranis X9D Plus-EU version/XJT-EU version in D16-EU mode. Not 100% sure but maybe a little bite of ID10T error. lol so now onto the next. but I'll try to figure that one out in a day or so. thanks again for all the help very much appreciated, especially Ron Gray, for the offer you made... and so the complication goes on. sorry guy's I know you are all offering a great deal of help. I thought this would be a good rout to take in my rc hobby of many years. I thought wrong. Maybe it's a simple case of, you can't teach old dog's new tricks.... My rx was supposedly up dated to V2. but now it's said I need to down load another software to update protocol on it. does it ever stop with frsky equipment. Mike. No movement what so ever on the servos. and I know they are all good as I have tested them on my spectrum system

yest the rx led turns green and when the tx is turned off it flashes red. the channel monitor reacts with the control sticks..

i find the menu to do this, but really with no written instruction i have no idea. i know that maybe sound silly but trust me, I'm a on paper instruction guy.

My rx that i have tried to control servos with is a X8R ACCST eulbt. my tx is also set to ACCST. also EU LBT I'm about to trow it in the bin. I wanted to get into telemetry instead of using my old Eagletree system, plug and play ..... But this is proving to be too too much.... even opentx, is mind boggling for this old fart...

Caveman. Ok, hooked up a RX, got the green steady light, 3 servos connected, Ch1 ch2 ch4 CH 3 being the esc. not a single movement on any. so looks like something with the radio. who knows lol....

Caveman. the FC is D8 protocol. I do have the external module fitted to my tx and set to D8 on the tx.

Andy, I dont think you are being rude. My problem is , After binding with those pins joined the light does go solide. remove the join and nothing is as it say's in the manual. Maybe I need to right down what and how i'm doing as sometimes my 67 years brain doesn't want to function properly either.'maybe some pictures would help better. I'll do that as I wasn't bold a few weeks ago lol....

Ok. the video shows the fc board i have in bind mode. After disconnecting and re connecting and hooked up to cleanflight, I have no control over the rx functions IE: stick movement. No mater how I set the config IMG_3200.MOV

Ok, I guess I need to give more details rather than just ranting on lol. My radio is a Frsky Taranis X9 lite S. I have the following RX's : X8R EU/LBT and for my drone flight controller, FRF3_EVO_Brush with on board rx operating Sbus.. I know the rx protocol on this flight controller is D8 but i have the Frsky XJT lite2.4ghz module . My main problem is.. I can set the FC rx to go into bind mode, But my tx will not bind. even though i have the rf set to external module set to D8 and channel 1-8 it just keeps beeping as if looking for the rx. Is there any way to do a full factory reset on the TX? just in case I have screwed something up on the radio.... Thanks

Well after a month of head banging against the wall door or even the floor. I'm no nearer to getting to grips with this T-Rex of a radio. I can not even get it to bind to any of the rx's that i have, even when following the instructions to the letter. the open TX program is basically of no more use than a wet piece of toilet paper. sorry to be so blunt but that''s how i feel about. Even after watching several U tube videos as suggest. none offer or seem to give any insight on how to do what should be a simple process. So maybe I should sell it and go back to flying rubber band models or control line...........very un happy Frsky taranis X9 lite S owner......

I should have said. The flight controler I should have said the flight controller is the problem, I think... Due to the fact the motors spine with or with out the tx linked. rx and tx do bind..

Maybe a long shoot, but here goes nothing. Does anyone have a backup of the rx settings for this drone.? For some reason maybe my fault, but it no longer binds with my radio link AT9 tx.I had connected it Betaflight, now when i connect the battery the motors just spine. with or without my tx on.... Any help would be appreciated.

Ok guy's. Update to my post. I have checked my TX for the following. Label on the back is EU-LBT. Mode has ACCESS/ACCST D16 Bootloader -2.3.12 Age I think could be a problem. Not going to say how old other than. John Noaks of blue peter fame got me interested in the RC hobby.

I have a Taranis X9 lite s.. what is a good rx for this radio? I'm looking at this one...FrSky V8FR-II 8 Channel 2.4Ghz Receiver. as i'm new to this tx, I don't want to be throwing money away. it's a beast to get to grips with. what ever happend to simple.???
