  1. This is a USA muppet moment as told to some of us by a club member who had visited a flying site there. A group who were co-owners of a large-scale model were first to the site this day. Although they used a peg-board system, as they were fist there, they didn't get their peg. Our club-member arrived and joined the group of fliers. As the tx was being passed between them, it was passed to him. After a short fly, he passed it on. Just after he had passed it on, the next flyer lost control and the plane crashed. Reason: another flyer had arrived, and finding his freq peg on the board, took it and turned on his tx, unfortunately the same freq as the plane already flying. Body bag, please.
  2. Hi Roy If the UK clubs are like the NZ club in my area, they will get you flying and start your flight training without you actually joining the club. This gives you the benefits of their flying site, expertise and the chance to get some flying time before joining. Although some clubs may require you to join before you can use their field, others will not. My suggestion would be to contact your local club(s) and find out what their policy on this is. Another thing you have to consider, as we do here, are any possible limitations Air Traffic Control (or whatever they are called in the UK) may impose on you. (One we have, is a max flight level of 400 feet.) By contacting the local club(s), you will be able to find this out. Ian NZ
  3. I am looking at buying and building the Heinkel He 111, plan number RM260, and also then doing a second as the He 111Z. What I would like to know is: 1) Has anyone done this already? If so, would they send me the new wing centre section? 2) Could someone design the new wing centre section for the above-mentioned plan? As I am new to r/c flying, this project is a little way off being started, but I thought I would start getting things lined up ready for when I am proficient enough to do this build. Thanks in advance Ian NZ
