  1. I have a Futaba 10CG and some of the digital trim switches are failing. apparently it's a known problem.... Anyone know where I can get some replacement switches?
  2. Am building a scaled up version of Tony's plan at 2m span. Plans arrived in the post on Thursday - Thanks Tony! - just need to clear the decks and get going. Build will mainly be depron, perhaps with some balsa here and there.... I'll be using 4x70mm fans .... I think there'll a lot adapting or 'a lot of making it up as I go along' if you prefer!!
  3. I have used it to build our flying site - my day job is 3d gfx - and it is not very easy to use..... there are some good tips on various forums out there though. You do need a good panorama of your flying site to begin with. I assembled our site in Photoshop and then processed that with Pano2VR. You need to end up with a cubic panorama with 6 images. Mine were 4096x4096 pixels. Once you've got the panorama loaded into the site builder, you then need to add the various collision objects as required. I started with a basic ground plane and went from there. You need to have some patience - particularly when the software spits you out!
  4. this has been a topic for discussion in our club too .... I always felt at a disadvantage when flying my lancaster against a scale aerobat .... I needed to pick 4 manoeuvres to fly in addition to the required take-off, procedural turn, straight & level and landing. Doesn't leave much to pick from does it! I always argued aircraft should be flown in a scale manner - like you might see in a full size display. that might include lots of aerobatics from an Extra 300 or just stooging around from an Antonov an-2

  16. Nice colour scheme Robert - not seen that before...   Ive been flying the original 72" Lanc for sometime now and have always had trouble getting the wing bolts aligned and tightened ... after 11 years I've just decided to add an opening bomb bay to my model - don't know why I didn't do it ages ago! Make's mounting the one piece wing so much easier now As to the power setup - I'm running 4 brushed 7.2v S400's with MFA gearboxes all powered by a 4000 4s lipo Old school I know, but it works really well!   Edited By Andy Fox on 27/04/2014 12:00:22
