  1. i am heading to woodvale this year with 11 other lads from our club although reading the posts above it doesn't sound too positive, this will be my first model show so was looking forward to it.
  2. add me to the list please, hopefully i can win and build it before i wreck my super air
  3. hello greg, i'm just starting myself and while i would like a plane with proper engine the model shop in belfast recomended the same plane as yours, i was wondering how the throttle worked too, anyway best of luck with the plane and hopefully i'll see you about sometime
  4. as somebody who is just trying to get into r/c planes after watching this event today i'm hooked, every plane i saw looked perfect, i only saw about 10 planes on practice flights but it was worth the drive there, i might even have to take a sickie this week so i can get back to see more, only complaint i had was couldn't get into marquee to see planes close up but i suppose they are too expensive for everyone to paw over and only 1 stall selling models etc and 1 selling turbines
  5. thanks for all the replies, going to head to the jet model world championship tomorrow so hopefully there will be some stalls where i can pick up something to start with and get a bit of advice on local clubs and flying F.A.O. aslan - i live just outside carlingford in north county louth.
  6. hello all, as the title says i am a complete beginner, tried to get started in r/c planes when i was younger but motorbikes took over and couldn't transport plane on bike, anyway i have no idea where to start electric or i/c, how do i find my local clubs, can they train me? what do i need to buy? any help would be appreciated, stephen, ireland.
