  1. Hi there, Being in the western part of Canada, we don't see many Laser engines. Exchange rate is atrocious CAD to GBP. So it's with great joy and excitement that I just received my order of Laser engines (three Laser 70 - destined for a Mosquito and an undetermined airplane) from the last remaining stock to add to my Laser engine collections. It takes a while (about 3 weeks) for the mail system to deliver them. I now have three Laser 70, two Laser 80, one Laser 120, two Laser 90 and one Laser 300v. All the ones (80s, 90s and 300v) that I run have been extremely reliable and easy to run. They are exceptional engines and I wish I could get more. A big shout out to Jon for his past support and knowledge. Thanks Fred
  2. Hi Mike. An ultrasonic cleaner works very well. I use one and have very good results. However it is very important what kind of fluid you use. Some fluids will turn the aluminium grey depending on the ph and chemicals. I have tried a few fluids and have found these two fluids to work in cleaning the aluminium without turning it grey. Ultrasonic Cleaner Solution for Carburetors and Engine Parts, Ultrasonic Cleaning Solution and Washing Compound for Ultrasonic and Immersion Washers - https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B09KK6KR3Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 Ultrasonic Cleaning Solution Shooter's Choice - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00NVOPHKU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Mind you, I'm in Canada and I'm sure there are many other fluids that is available in the UK that would work. If you speak to a company that specializes in providing ultrasonic cleaning fluid, they would know which fluids work best for aluminium. That's how I found about about some fluids greying aluminium parts. cheers Fred
  3. Thanks, will go to the other thread Fred
  4. Hi there, Just wondering this event went? I'm from across the pond (Canada), interested in Laser engines and am very keen to hear about this. Hopefully this would be the right forum.
