  1. There is one in Cliffe, it's miles away! I'm sure I could join to find someone close to me but I think it may be a bit of a waste of money as I doubt I'd go to the club. I have a perfectly good field behind my house for flying anytime.
  2. Hi, Anyone living near Gravesend in to building and flying?
  3. There were quite a lot of people there, it was one or two in the air at a time which suprised me. I guess they were worried about mid air incidents.
  4. Hi nasa, I'm in Heathfield, I was hoping that there might be someone in the area.. Uckfield, Mayfield, Crowborough area..
  5. The other issue is that I work most of Saturday and spend all of Sunday with my family so it's a bit difficult getting there, if there are any clubs local to me then perhaps someone here may know of a good one. The last club I went to I had to take a peg, wait for an hour and 15 minutes to fly for just 10 and that was it. I guess that put me off a bit. Edited By Elliot on 20/06/2011 13:37:36 Edited By Elliot on 20/06/2011 13:37:51
  6. Scratch building non-plane like aircraft, saucers, strange 3D that sort of thing. I'm not realy in to clubs I have to say, too much waiting around to fly and too many rules. I have a farmer who lets me fly in his field more or less anytime I like so I'm a little spoilt there, also I expect that dropping stuff off your plane at clubs doesn't go down too well I don't know? Maidstone is a litle far really as it takes me about an hour to get there, I was hoping 10 or 15 minute drive tops.. A little bit of evening dog fighting etc..
  7. Hi David, I'm looking for someone to fly with locally , ideally someone who is in to war birds and experimental stuff. Edited By Elliot on 20/06/2011 13:10:20

  17. It appears to work ok with filler, several people have tried it successfully although it does rough up the surface over time.  Everyone now must buy one so that I can clothe my children and buy much needed modelling supplies!
  18. I've tried icecream lids and they tend to break when you try and bend them, if you don't quite get 50/50 and there is slightly more resin than harderner the lid doesn't flex enough..A sheet of silicon sounds like a good idea.
  19. Hi, Does anyone use one of these? www.resi-mate.com  I need to know if it works with car filler Thanks Edited By Elliot on 22/03/2010 11:46:54
  20. Hi Chris, I used a PIC12F683, I am reading PWM in to activate the searchlight which is a high output white LED. The red slow fade in/out LED under the tail is connected to the hardware PWN out on the PIC, the port and starboard LEDs are on with the power so no pin allocation with the flashing tail light on another pin, there is also a servo output for a winch which is a modified micro servo to be continious running and goes up when the vr6 pot is fully clockwise and down when the pot is in the centre position for more than 1 second, this allows the search light to be on/off toggle when fully to the left.. Can you write embedded code?
  21. It has to be the most sexy plane ever, are you aware of a PR Mk which had clipped wings and coaxial props? Or is this only a one off, I know there was a 5 bladed version.
  22. Wow, I'm glad they dumped the 2 bladed prop. It looks awful, this must have been a very limited run.. Do you know how many were made?
  23. Nice, These are the prototype versions.  Yes the cowl goes up the the spinner with a very large radius, the rendered versions above are the later body type incorperating the Griffon engine. Also the vertical tail is more elliptical on the rendered versions unlike the earlier models.
  24. The reason I ask is because the front cowling has a raised up part which was only seen on the griffon engines found in thew later Mks, I assume this is a generic 3D model?
  25. That is so wrong, is that a PR (top)?
