  1. Hi David, my Raven last flew on her maiden flight under the care of the legendary Colin Hammond in late March. It flew beautifully on a 61 SC engine. Since then it has pretty much rained every weekend prior to the HMFC May fly-in where the Raven made her next appearance. I ran her up but never flew. Will let you know how it goes in the future, hopefully this month. Regards Alan.
  2. Thanks David et al, greatly appreciated....Regards Alan
  3. Thanks Lee. I spent all Sunday searching the web. No luck. Would really appreciate it if you could look them up or even just measure your thows. Absolutely no great rush.   Thanks Alan
  4. Hi George thanks for stopping by so to speak. I'm a bit worried about this too so I'm going to fly this baby down in Hastings to start with to get a feel for how much space she uses on landing and was also thinking of setting up flaperons and seeing if it makes a difference, especially on those dead calm days. If all goes according to plan the WOT 4 will be retired and this little red racer will get me through my B test. Just hope I can get her in under 82 dBs. I have the review so COG concerns duly noted. 5. Good afternoon fellow Raven owners. I have managed to lose the instruction manual. Could someone please be so kind as to send me the throws on the various control surfaces. Thanks very much. Alan
  6. The Texan's at The Alamo weren't yellow....
  7. My turn to win as I didn't win a bean off the Christmas advent calender
  8. Hi Guys, thanks to everyone who replied to this. As "luck" would have it the "noisy"  engine was written off in a horrible high speed crash. No fire just balsa. Subsequent plane and engine were over propped using an APC which doesn't flex. On failing the sound check at the club one of those rubber exhaust extenders was added and the model actually passed. The sagely advice from the more knowledgeable fliers was that with the exhaust turned well away from the airframe the sound was less because there was less echo. I'm not complaining, just glad to be flying again. Apart from last Saturday where the fuel line expanded.....see other forum...Happy straffing......
  9. I wasted a whole day with this type of problem on Saturday.  My problem turned out to be that the fuel line inside the tank had expanded. (Like you would believe that if you read it) Anyhow this eventually meant that the clunk ended jammed in a place where the fuel didn't reach. (Of couse it wouldn't jam where the fuel could reach) I only believed that this was the cause when on trying to drain a near full tank nothing came out. The excitement of solving the problem somewhat tempered by the fact that getting a tank out of an i/c model is not a quick, easy, painless or enjoyable task. If that 5S Lipo were any cheaper.....
  10. By chance do those plastic exhaust extenders decrease the amount of noise from i/c models?  Thanks
